A series of occurances and events.

I didn't do a great deal this weekend, I guess it was just nice to relax for once and not do a six day week. I did end up buying more stuff, which I really must curb. Books I'm okay with, but I have seriously too many DVDs. Back to the old 'must have a sort out' mantra.

I've also reaquired my A0 cast iron drafting board :-D Yay! It was rescued from the Flat de Chav after I had a random conversation with Steve in a pub during a friends 50th birthday recently. Just need to figure where to put the monster!

I really want to go to Festival Kinetik (cheers to triplespiral for mentioning it ages ago). Only.....I can't have any time off in May, due to work being incredibly busy then. Meh. Yet another reason for me to push on with the self-employed thing.

Wah! I just updated that quiz meme thingy, and it made me think of 80s metal bands. You know, the kind with lots of Zs in the names. Anyway, I remembered Sleez Beez. I have a tape of theirs - Screwed, Blued and Tattooed I think it's called. Anyway, even though I have the tape (which ROCKS in the way only 80s hair metal can), I know nothing else about 'em. Til now O_o I really didn't know they'd made so many albums.

Okay - expand my music interests!!! :P

I'm still bored of a shitload of old stuff. I'm looking mainly for guitar-based or, ummm, really heavy industrial-type music, less beepy and more 'grind-house-a-go-go'. Or quirky things too. I'm depending heavily on Siouxsie, Rammstein, V.A.C, NiN, Ministry, White/Rob Zombie, Type-O, Dead Can Dance, Nick Cave, Rasputina, and a bit of Juno Reactor at the moment, but I wouldn't mind some newer stuff.

So, if you can be bothered, I want you to recommend up to three bands and three tracks no indie though, please :P

Is there such a word as OBSTROCULOUS?

If so, what is its meaning? It sounds a little medieaval to me.

Can't find it in any dictionary, although web searches do show it as being used in text (but I have yet to find a link that actually works).

It's not important, just annoying.

Ok, I have two tickets to see The Village this Thursday - doors open 6:30pm, film starts 7:00pm - it's on at Showcase Cinemas, Hyde Road, Belle Vue, Manchester.

I cannot make it, way too early for me to get up there - first person who posts can have these tickets - would need to send them at the end of today, what with the post being crappy at the moment.
