I know this community is pretty dead, but I wanted to post this for those of you who will see this.

If you are planning on getting your(or your pet's!) hair cut please think about donating it towards helping clean the oil spill. Matter Of Trust will take all kinds of hair and put it in boons which in turn will soak up oil. This is their website:

They take ANY kind of hair, fur, wool, and even nylons! If anything can you pass this info on? It's such an easy way to help with the spill.

Does anyone have any information (besides the website) about the Jax Natural Foods Buying Club? I came across their website yesterday and spent a bit of time reading about it, but would like to get some first-hand (or second-hand) info before I make the leap!

also ive searched and searched adn can't seem to find a club that is 18 and up that seems decent.  Orange Park/Fleming Island area preferred but not mandatory.

I'm looking for any place that sells used, repossessed, second hand or other types of cheap appliances, specifically refrigerators and washer/dryers. I've checked craigslist for individuals, but any warehouse type place where I can look at many at once would be preferred. Anything in Orange Park, Middleburg or the Westside is even better.

If you haven't heard coach Pat died on Sept 2nd. They are planning to have a memorial for him at Sandalwood's Gymnasium on Sept 19 at 11am. Its going to be in style of a pep rally. His mother requested it to be like that. If you knew him you'd understand this is how he would have wanted it to be. Coach Pat was and will always be a part of Sandalwood. The organizers of the memorial ask that if you do go, go in Sandalwood attire.

My girlfriend and I just moved into Jacksonville, we've been here about two weeks, and can't find a thing to do. Back in the Toledo/Detroit area, we were big into the club, rave, and dance scene, but we've never really been big bar-hoppers. Where are all the clubs at in Jax, and what music do they play? I can't find anything to do other than stand around drinking in sports bars, or walking around the mall all night. Any help out there?
