In Pursuit Of ..

@iwrotesomeofitdown

Hi, I'm a cis woman (she/her) in my late 30s with cerebral palsy. I post about stuff that I find interesting, important, cool, or funny.

one person's "ugghh this trope is so overdone" is another person's "oooooohohohohohohohoho"

If you feel lost and disconnected from yourself; if you feel like you don't know who you are and question your purpose in this life, the best thing you can do is reconnect with everything that has ever brought you joy. There are so many parts of ourselves we hide and forget because we adapt to the environment and people around us. Other people's opinions, judgements and thoughts influence us and it's so easy to get lost in them and forget what you actually think and want, who you actually are. So revisit the songs that make you feel happy and alive, pick up that hobby that always grounded you, connect to people who bring warmth to your life and indulge in anything that makes your soul feel at peace. All of these things are the essence of who you are, my love. And in order to find yourself again, go back to your roots and engage with everything you have been neglecting for so long. I can see that the light inside of you has been dimmed for a while, but it's still there, waiting for you to uncover it again.

I swear to fucking god. I would claw out OneDrive from my computer if I could. I would burn down their servers if I could. I would run down their stocks to the ground if I could. I hope every single one of their workers gets a better offer from a competitor in the next 24 hours. I hope every single one of their light bulbs explodes at the same time. I hope every single carton of milk in their fridge will always be expired.

Stop backing up my fucking files.

Stop asking me to back up my fucking files.

Stop taking my fucking files off my fucking computer.

I don't want a fucking reminder in three fucking days. Let me fucking say no.

Fuckers.

this is what solarpunk means to me. You find a printer. You fix it. You ask someone to please take it off their account and then they do and let you know. Beautiful. 100/10, wish printers didn't have to be tied to accounts in the first place but this is nice.

Holy fuck

This works best if you keep windows closed.

Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.

This was discovered as a more effective design during the 2020 US west coast fires.

If you live on the west coast of the United States, fire season is coming and this is vital.

We’ve been using one, and they’re great. Might try to make the double filter version this year.

theyve been doing a bunch of studies on this during the pandemic and this design is best! 4 filters and a shroud to optimize flow rate.

I’ve personally used both the flat single-filter version AND the triangular two-filter version, and based on subjective personal experience I would argue that the benefits from the second filter, both in terms of airflow and filtration, are absolutely worth it. If you need a makeshift air filter and you have two filters to work with, build the triangle (if not the box, i have no idea how good that one works but based on the info here i presume it’s a fair bit better.)

IDK I think if cis men are being told that being fat will lower their testosterone and make them Insufficiently Masculine, and cis women are being told that being fat will raise their testosterone and make them Excessively Masculine, and fat trans people are being denied the right to medically transition if they're fat, and thin trans people are warned against HRT because it will make them fat (and this is said about both testosterone and estrogen HRT), and androgynous-presenting people are told that only thin people count as androgynous...

Then maybe...

Maybe...

Maybe the weight loss industry is just using Gender to enforce fatphobia.
