Just needing to get this off my chest.......
In my next life, I wanna come back as an orphaned, only child hermit!
My family is driving me insane.
My sister is on Asshole husband #2. This man is an unemployed, alcoholic, abusive, waste of life jerk who is brain-washing my nephew to hate his mother. Because of my nephew (who isn't even his son) she won't consider divorcing him. She just spends her time avoiding HIM and trying to win my nephews affections back.
Her twenty year old daughter got mad at her and refuses to talk to her 2 months ago. They live in the same house. Niece goes as far as to avoid being in the same room as her. So Sis has decided to play the old grade-school game of passing messages, through me, to her. *ugh*
Problem #2 another nephew texted me yesterday. I was immediately on guard because this kid hasn't texted me in several years. I've seen him 1 time in the past 5 years, even though he lives 2 hours away. He starts telling me this sob story that he's been fired from his job, got a new one in sales, but only made money if he made a sale, (surprise?) so he'd quit this one. And now, he was being evicted.
So, I asked him what he needed from me (thinking he was needing a place to stay) he tells me that he want's a bus ticket home to his parents. I look it up. $150 for the ticket! I don't even have 150 pennies to spare, much less dollars! I tell him how expensive it is and he asks if I can find out how much to go to different towns. So I ask him if his parents would help him. He tells me that he's asked his mother and she wouldn't even look up the prices for the bus for him.
Stupidly, I get made at his Mom and immediately text my brother, asking why they won't help him come home. My S.I.L calls me. Turns out the nephew was fired for coming to work drunk, or not at all. Evicted for throwing wild parties and damaging the place AND has a court date next week for battery! (charged with hitting a girl). Evidently, he wanted to go home so he wouldn't have to go to court.
So, I text him back, telling him that I'd contacted his parents and they'd told me the rest of the story. At this time, my sister (from above stress) texts me about this nephew. I tell her that he'd been trying to trick me into getting him a bus ticket without telling me about the court thing. She defends him, telling me that he'd told her and that he'd mentioned the ticket to her for AFTER the court. That's all fine and dandy for her, but what about me? I feel really hurt and betrayed that he basically lied to me, while telling her the truth. She tells me that she's taking a trip to take him groceries and has the nerve to ask if I want to go with her. I tell her no, I'm pissed. I was lied to. (his mother says she was willing to get him home after the court, not before) and feel like he was trying to trick me into helping him leave the state. Sis basically tells me that I'm being ridiculous and that he was never trying to trick me and that he's sorry that I feel like he had.
He sends me an apology via text. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about court. I didn't mean to. I wasn't trying to trick you. I just didn't have time to tell you the whole thing before you called my parents."
So basically, it's my fault he lied by omission? I looked at the time stamps on my phone. We were texting for almost 2 hours before I texted his dad. He had time to get me to look into other escape routes but not time to tell me what he's trying to escape? And the worst part was, I was ready to start yelling at them for not helping out their own son!
So Sis is going to get him and bring him to stay with her oldest son until the court date. I'm the evil bitch because I'm hurt and angry for being lied to and being treated like an idiot!

My New Years Resolutions progress so far...#2
My New Years Resolutions progress so far...
1. Exercise more was doing great, up to 1 1/2 hrs a day...then I got sick for over two weeks, so I gotta start over...:(
2. Lose weight hopefully? although I wasn't eating during my flu...I doubt it.....
3. Learn to quilt still no progress yet
4. Get organized I was doing really well until I got sick. thinking about attacking my sewing closet tomorrow
5. Watch Glee nice thing about being sick....caught up with every episode and eagerly await the next ep! <3 it!
6. take better care of my skin can't even blame this failure on being sick, I flaked on it before the flu...
7. Lurk less Haven't been on LJ much, but I have been at least thanking people for the things I get from them (glee!)
8. Catch up on regular correspondence massive failure! Skipped sending a birthday card while sick!
9. Plan ahead Starting so hold back $ for upcoming property taxes. Ugh!
10. Get rid of useless items I went through every magazine and got rid of unneeded ones! Over a hundred magazines from as far back as 2005! Except for a select few, they are all recycled! Yay me! Next up are recipe books and mags!

I've read several of this year's bigbang's and the majority of them are great.....but.......I can't decide which is worse....I great writer with a crappy storyline or a crappy writer with a great storyline. *sigh* At least they have the balls to post it.
