Cleaning is mostly done?

tygerStill need to do the bathroom and wash the sheets etc., but I've done the obvious stuff otherwise. I'll probably think of more to do tomorrow, of course, but at least it's started...
Anyway, now is time to shut down the desktop, but I don't think I can be bothered taking it apart tonight. Something to do in the morning, I guess!!
Other than that, just Vintage Story. I have started making my frog hole look nice! :D It's gonna be a long process though.
It was nice and sunny today!!
Jul. 10th, 2026 03:32 amtygerScout and I were out for almost two hours, until the sun stopped coming into the yard enough to bask in! :3 We both had a good time - I know Scout did because there were BIRDS, and also she didn't even try and go out of bounds! :D But mainly the birds. She luv birb, wants to eat one very much. Alas, even city pigeons are too smart for her!
Other than that, mostly Vintage Story, though I did also make rice (I'm love rice so much I swear...) and used the time it was cooking to start cleaning up around here. Almost time to go home!!! :O So yeah, cleaning up after myself, is important! And polite! Thankfully I haven't really made much mess - kitchen is cleaned up whenever I cook, and other than taking the desktop apart again for travelling (which WILL be a PITA, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm also not going to do it until the morning of) it's just stuff like the floors. And the bathroom of course but I won't do that until the morning of either, because I do gots to still be cleaning my teeth and stuff!
Might totally change Scout's litter tomorrow, too, that's definitely a thing that needs doing before I go as well...

Jul. 9th, 2026 03:44 amtygerToday was a Long Day. I woke up before my alarm, even! At like. 9am. Gross. But also it meant I had plenty of time to have a shower and get my hair mostly dry before I went out, which is yay!
Less yay: I was cold while out because all of my hoodies were either dirty. Or wet. Because I just washed them. WHOOPS. Should've done that washing a bit earlier... >>;; Still, wasn't TOO bad in just a t-shirt and a long sleeved top, but also I hate being cold booo.
Also there were fucking bus replacements and those are always super annoying!!!! But seeing A was great, and that's the important thing. :D Yes. (There were also soooo many people around because school holidays, which is. A thing. Bleh, crowds.)
Um. Other than that, mostly Vintage Story. I wrote a freaking todo, because of course I did. Also Scout remains very very cute! And I am rambly as fuck soooo yet another point in the 'go the fuck to sleep' column I will. Attempt to do that now. Again. You know how it goes...

First up was our Stardew game, which was... well, it was full of technical weirdness for one of our players - they kept getting desync'd, but a restart on their part did nothing - but otherwise pretty good!
Vintage Story was also pretty good... except for the part where one of the players accidentally set the base ON FIRE and we lost a whole bunch of shit. I just. Dude. DUDE. No flamethrowers in the base, that is a NEW RULE, an accidental misclick and... shiiit. :|
Anyway luckily? we're moving to a new location, and uh the move has been slow so far buuuuuut... yeah. We've got shit everywhere and unorganised, might as well pack it up and move it now, kinda thing. I lost most of the stuff I personally had earmarked but whatever. It's annoying, but I can deal. Luckily the only thing I'd actually made was some nice fanned cobblestone, and the hardest part of that was figuring out how to make it. The recipe in the handbook is not intuitive to say the least, it's got some hidden rules. But now I know (thank you forums!) it'll be easy enough to remake!
Other than that, I went to the supermarket, and also got delicious charcoal chicken for dinner, mwahaha :D

Jul. 6th, 2026 03:24 amtygerDid very little today, really! XD;; Took Scout out for a while, but it was extremely uncomfortable for a non-furred mammal, so we didn't stay out too long. (I mean. I didn't rush her, but I DID take her straight back inside when she went Out Of Bounds. I feel like that's not a bad tradeoff.)
Then, yup, mostly game. >>;; It's fun!!! I designed a hopefully-duck-proof fence for the new farm! We'll see how it performs. If nothing else can add a duck containment pit like the current farms have! (It works surprisingly well! Since there ARE ducks, no new ducks spawn, and they can't get at the crops! There's a couple of mice down there now too, not something I herded into the place so they must have gone on their own hahahaha.)

Pretty sure my Stardew game is cursed, though. I lost another like. Three hours. This time because it fucking errored out while saving! :| :| :| I'm taking this as a sign that I need to start a new farm, which is annoying. But probably for the best.
Buuut not gonna do that for a while, I think, because Vintage Story is remaining very fun! :D We're making an airship! (Well. I'm doing fetch quests, mostly mining ore, and other people are actually MAKING it. But it's a group effort.)
Um. There was probably something else but it's very late and I forget. Bed now!

Did manage to do my washing, at least, and washed the dishes. So at least I got something done, other than playing Vintage Story and reading!

Jul. 2nd, 2026 03:37 amtygerToday I made pork and cabbage over rice! It's really good, way better than the mandarin chicken. (Though I DO like all of pork, cabbage, and rice a LOT, so ymmv.) :V
Less happily, it took me about an hour to get to the 'leave it to simmer' stage (including cleaning the kitchen and finding where things are kept and stuff - it's not actually a super complicated recipe. Though dicing the onion is always a PITA and takes a while), at which point I was wrecked. Faint and wobbly and just horribad. :/
I'd already agreed to meet Mama for lunch tomorrow, but I am uh. Slightly less optimistic about how well I'll deal with that now. BUT. I will try! I have been fortified with two delicious meals! (And I have so many leftovers!!!) And Mama knows I've been sick, of course, so will understand if I have to sit the fuck down for a while etc.
Other than that, not a lot really. Vintage Story, reading, etc. Normal flop type things, because body is um. Yeah. Nooot entirely recovered yet.
Definitely on the mend!

Slept most of the daylight hours, again, but that's fine. Also got really woozy when I needed lunch - I'd had breakfast! I wasn't ignoring food by accident again! - but I've pretty much perked up since then, which is great. (I did in fact make potatoes, and they were excellent. Not saying they're why I'm feeling better, but I am saying they definitely helped.)
Not a whole lot other than that, though. Played a bunch of Vintage Story. No outside time for Scout, alas, though she didn't even ask. Probably because she could hear the rain at least as well as I could, hahahaha. She's pretty energetic at the moment, though, so clearly she's missing the exercise. Well, hopefully it'll be dry enough tomorrow!
Blegh

I think I'm recovering, though - didn't sleep super well (annoying), and while I was able to get up and eat a food in time for Stardew game, I also felt really faint near the end of it, and had to go lay down for a couple of hours. But, tellingly, I didn't fall asleep then either. So I'm probably past the worst of it, and this is just things slowly going back to normal.
Still annoying as hell, though.
Also finished up my mandarin chicken, so I'mma have to cook again tomorrow. Bleh. Hopefully I'll be better at staying upright, this one isn't a slow cooker recipe... (Or maybe I'll just make mashed potatoes tomorrow, and worry about recipe cooking the next day...)
