Wow, I've been gone for a long time.  A really long time...

So much as happened in my life, and continuing to happen that I think will definitely affect my writing style in some way.  Because of this, I haven't really written anything lately, but I just opened my writing book again and felt the overwhelming urge to start again.  [Reading old JJxDrake fics helped too, as well as a couple of new ones... XD]

I came back to this journal and was shocked that I hadn't posted the last oneshot I wrote before I disappeared!  So here it is in all it's glory, haha!  I am also currently working on finishing this set of 10-oneshots, so I hope to do so within the next couple of months and not leave anyone hanging [and to continue the JJxDrake love!]

Yep, changed the layout again.  The other had a bit too much.... blank space for my liking.  Thanks to thefulcrum for the cute new layout!  Tweaked the header a bit, but all in all, LOVE it! =]

Yes, yet another new look.  Thanks to premade_ljs for the new layout.  I think it was about time that I got a new layout, kind of like a fresh start. =]

I cannot believe that I haven't uploaded the fanfics to this journal that I had already uploaded to Fanfiction.net!!  I believe that I have two stories that I have yet to upload here, so this post is for the first of the two.

I really have no idea how I came up with the idea for this one-shot.  I mean, the typical image for a prompt titled "chocolate" should be some sort of romantic/valentine-y fic, wouldn't you think?  I guess I just wanted to really think outside the obvious, hehe.

It's been such a loooooonng time since I've posted anything on this site... Honestly, I seem to have lost my muse, my inspiration to write anything. Instead, I feel a growing frustration in my writing at the lack of natural flow...
 

But, it seems to me that the only cure for this major case of writer's block is to continue to write, along with listen to a load of music to try to spark anything that may come out. So, instead of a story, I bring you a song that has been playing often lately in hopes that i may be able to write something to such wonderful lyrics. [Translations follow the lyrics]

Yes, I've finally found a new look for my journal! Thanks goes to paintedlayoutsfor the layout. The mechanics of making your own layout doesn't seem as hard as I thought it'd be, so you may see one of my own one of these days (though I'm not making any promises, haha.)

I've been waiting for the 10_promptsto accept my claim before I posted the first prompt here, but oh well, I'll post it anyway. This prompts was actually one of the big reasons I had chosen the table I did. Just hearing "long distance" I automatically thought "sniper" instead of the typical long-distance relationship, and I knew instantly that I wanted to write this story. The style's a bit different than my normal, but I've always wanted to try it. I think it emphasizes the intensity of the mood more, as well as the emotions and actions of the characters. I was kind of iffy on the tenses; I think I may have slipped into present when I shouldn't have, but I guess I'll just catch on as I write more.

An embarrasing moment I've pinned on myself: I had a mind blank when trying to think of the word "disassembling" and attempted to jog my memory by looking at a dictionary. I knew that it started with "dis-" but I just couldn't remember the word and was about ready to go through all those listed, but thankfully, I opened the dictionary in the perfect spot and it was the first word I saw. Talk about lucky (as well as such an embarrasing moment...)

Wow, two posts in one day?! Indeed, I could have simply edited my previous post and added this to it, but... :shrugs:

So, I've decided to take up the challenge of writing with a prompt table at the 10_prompts community. Although it may only be 10 prompts, really nothing compared to the 100 fic challanges, this is still a first for me and a much needed opportunity to pratice writing.

After much deliberating, I've finally decided to start up my account on LiveJournal. I must admit, I will miss Wordpress because of its simplicity (oh, so much more simple to use!), but figured that most people that would want to comment on my entries are on LJ.

So, welcome to Its Your Heart, a collective for my fanfiction and original stories, mostly fanfics for right now though. In opening up my own place for these, I'll be able to tell you more about my stories, the experience in writing them, or ask for more opinions... I guess it's more like an extension of my FF.net account... (In other words, more ranting/babbling for those of you who want to get straight into the story itself o.o)

Well, now that introductions are over, I guess now would be the time to introduce my fic, eh? 

I've been totally absorbed in the FAKE fandom lately, for some reason. Even though my target was Kingdom Hearts (Zemyx) when I started writing again, I've totally lost my groove for that pair! Not that I don't love them any less - they're still one of my favorite pairings - but I just can't seem to nail Zexion's personality. I think it has something to do with the fact that I feel like I'm writing him out of character when he's not a human iceberg. But, I digress. I love writing JJxDrake mostly because there's so much left to the imagination with them. I mean, really, after the events of LikeLikeLove? After all the Dee-glomping and only side appearances? There's a lot left to be said about this pair, and I'm kind of saddened by the lack of love the pairing gets, so I'm doing my part to contribute! =D

This fic is more of a drabble than a real one-shot. I really enjoy writing drabbles because they're not that long, yet they hold just as much emotion as the longer fics, albeit the emotions are most of the times not explicitly stated. I'm not sure where I got the idea for this one; I think it's because JJ's character struck me as someone easy to fall in love, or at least become attracted to somebody.
