For this Jam, please refrain from using any generative AI.

Thank you for this question!

The themed item is "candle", incorporate this item in your game in anyway you'd like. Your interpretation of the themed item is up to your discretion!

1 day until we begin Jamming! Woohoo!

There is a small community of devs over on discord https://discord.gg/sWnB5fAEQ you may be able to assemble a team there.

This week's link https://discord.gg/sWnB5fAEQ

I love this! From ideation to manifestation! I am excited to see what you create! :D

Hey hey! I hope you are excited to continue working on your game project! What excites you most about game dev?

You can create a game in any genre!

The submission needs to be playable in the browser. It is encouraged to submit your Work in Progress, actually!

I plan for this Jam to be a recurring event, where you can continue to polish your project overtime.

Thank you the link has been updated!

It's linked at the bottom of the page , actually. Here it is again >   https://discord.gg/4Y5Tj9wg

Good question, I'd like the games to be playable in the browser from an itch.io page for accessibility actually.

I've created a Monster for the Jam so far.
I want to create a 1 room Dungeon for the Jam as well!

3-8-2026 Edit:
I have created a Monster, an Item, and a Character.

This game concept is so cute and unique! It's also very impressive that this was done for a game jam! I could see this game expanded to include different dog prizes and casinos! Great work!

Thank you!!

Imagine a game set in the "Old West" with a caravan of travelers in a wagon, carriage, or on horseback. Would this constitute a "road trip" per the rules?

Well, the style is charming already! And the special powers allude to the beginnings of a fun, fantasy adventure! I look forward to your progress on "Ruins of Calica" !

I hope you had some fun doing  that! Did you make the brew for the Oracle?

  • Why did you decide to work solo/as a team?
    • I worked solo because I already had a game idea and wanted to go with it, I also do not have any other dev friends.
  • If you are working with other people, how did you meet?
    • N/A
    • I am mainly a game artist so I was able to make a lot of art but only very simple gameplay using the Adventure Creator Addon in Unity.

Thank you for the feedback! <3

Interesting game show format.  I was a little confused by the beginning but the actual gameplay was pretty interesting.

This game has a cool concept but there is no indication of where the door order should begin.  I enjoyed checking out each door's room! Good job with that part of the design! However, I didn't finish the puzzle because I wasn't sure where to begin.

Thank you for the feedback! I will continue to develop this game after the jam is complete! This is an interesting suggestion too thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! I will continue to work on this game and add a map with quest markers for easier navigation in the future!

I like that this game is a 3D card-matching game essentially. It felt hectic immediately and that can by fun! Good job

This is a very cool, hand-drawn game! I find the art style endearing and fun! I could see this game developing into much more, keep going!

I think this game is pretty polished for 1 week of development! I found it intuitive and easy to understand, good job!

Thank you for the feedback. In future iterations, I will have some sort of map feature to help guide the player!

Cool game! The speed of the enemies took me by surprise!

Wow, this game is packed with meaningful decision-making moments. I felt very bleak and dismal as I tried to figure out what to give the person in each room. The message is clear and I appreciate this kind of gaming experience.   The musical score was amazing and drew out the emotion. I didn't complete the puzzle correctly though, but I started to understand after a room or 2!
