Nice, bitesized shootout game, although spinning isn't really a part of it. The only spinning seems to be the UI for the bullets, which is cute, but doesn't really change anything. For example, if the bullets were just lined up in a row instead of being in a circle, the game wouldn't play any differently. Regardless of this, it's still a fun game and had a good time!
It kind of just throws you into it, but the controls are fairly intuitive, so it's too much of an issue. There seems to be a bit of a difficulty curve issue as generally the encounters leading up to the boss are pretty free, but then the boss is just a crazy bullet hell where there is no choice but to get hit and spam shots until you win. It's also pretty anti-climactic to win because you just get booted back to the menu with no indication that you won or lost.
I really enjoyed the overworld map style of level select, although the map generation could do with some fine tuning to make sure the routes are somewhat sensible. On my second run, I got campfires and shops all the way from the start to the boss!
Love the artwork in this, the shopkeeper is so cool! Everything feels pretty cohesive. That being said, some of the UI was a little wonky. The text box in the attached screenshot made me laugh so much as it just got smaller and smaller with every letter lmao
