Hey Tony, that looks great. I love different spins on classic games like that and I'm glad you're having fun getting back into game coding.

Excellent. Thanks for checking that out. No way I could without cheating (which I did lol).

Have just uploaded version 0.82 which should significantly increate difficulty on consecutive loops.

Thanks for the feedback. Balancing is always hard for me since I'm a pretty average player so feedback like this is invaluable. I'll look at making it more challenging

All fixed in build 0.81. Thanks for pointing that out.

Haha, I'll look at that bug. Yes, it is mean!

Yeah, I get bored having to wait for cut-scenes and messages so I'm trying to allow skipping in everything I do unless there's a good reason not to.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you're enjoying it.

thanks.

I put together the music myself. Heavily inspired by “Chelsea Monday” from Marrillion. Just listened to the title music for the first time in years. Really foreboding!

Thanks Tom!

1366x768. Not sure if it’s perfect though. Def looks better if you go full screen.

Excellent. Thanks for letting me know.

thank you. If it doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll look at doing a Linux build if possible.

thank you!

love seeing what people are still producing on the c64. It was my first computer, got me into programming and, I’m guessing, like many others, shaped my career. So glad I kept games programming as a hobby though. No pressure, all enjoyment. Ah, rockfall, 70 quid from Your Computer. I felt rich!!! Thanks for reminding me of the past and so glad you got some inspiration out of it too. Long may it last!!!

Haha, yes I am. And pengy, and a couple of others. I guess some hobbies never die! Still have half shredded copies of those C&VG mags somewhere!

Hi, pretty sure I used this one: "Space Rave"

https://www.fontmirror.com/space-rave

goes forever. Old-school!

always a great watch. Thanks for constantly supporting me!

green flickering stars is probably what you’re seeing

You know I've done a Pico-8 version of Berserk too, right? Check it out!

Haha, I would LOVE a Wizard of Wor teeshirt too!

This one looks pretty nice!

Excellent. Thanks for that. I'll update the game notes to credit.

you can just play it for free in a browser

only if you can’t play the HTML export. Unfortunately picotron different yet have binary exporters. They’re due very soon though

no, they’re not the same. Picotron is kind of a successor to Pico 8

Great play through. Thanks for that. Always great fun to watch.

Thanks Tom. Shame I couldn't easily modify my pico-8 version but went into this one with your "Christmas special" in mind.

yup, the unminified pico 8 Lua code is included.  You don’t need to pay though, you can download it for free if you like

the png file is a picotron cartridge so, providing you own a copy of picotron, you’ll be able to load it and view the source

Don't see why not, providing picotron installs on there of the HTML export runs!

From memory, it goes back to level 1 after the first 90 levels (sorry, it's been a few years since I wrote this so can't quite remember).

Wow! Too easy?

Woah, I think that's further than I've ever got. By a long way! Well done.

thanks for the feedback, I’ll see if I can update the colours so they’re easier to tell apart.

the only current download is the .p64.png file which is a picotron cartridge file. Currently there is no way to produce executables in picotron. Once there is, I’ll provide more downloads.

haha, yes it was! Thank you.

TBH, I probably should have thought of this before I even published the game. Better late than never though!

you’d need to either divers the html page or purchase picotron

Hi, check out my proposed changes here and let me know if this will work for you:

damn, so many good ideas! Already have a few game modes though including “circus” mode. That doesn’t require any colour matching!

I think the shapes/ faces would be a great addition. I'm sure you're not the only one who will have trouble with the colours. Did think of this pretty early on but lost track and forgot to do anything about it.
