Ohhh thats a cool idea. The hosbo did mention that maybe a like affirmations panel or somenthing of the sorts would have been good. That would be fun to implement! Im gonna try. Thanks for your feedback! I'll definitely update the art for the words and maybe you are right - I think it's possible and should be easy to pair answer to department as it was discussed initially... ໒꒱

This is an amazing review, thanks so mucb Grace! I do agree that it needs one more thing to do and I like your idea of having a clicker to spam x amount of times - imma gonna steal it. I'm gonna also make it clearer that you can actually get to a win screen. Hope you play it again when I update it :D If you want, you can have the repo! Marina coded the email inbox so maybe she can walk you through it better than I could ( • ̀ω•́ )✧
I really didn’t enjoy the game. I think the main thing for me was the lack of interesting ui and art didn’t drove me in. It was also incredibly linear. After realizing that you didn’t have the rest of the keys for the rest of the hallway, all doors open in a specific order and that makes it so it’s not exploration or puzzle at all it is just a linear game. I don’t think it’s a fun game since it’s just doing the same thing over and over again room after room. The only differences where the 2 simple keys but it was too removed from the keycards and too the same at the same time that it didn’t make sense in my head.
I think all in all, making a game that is “like something else” should not be the start of “what game I wanna make”.
I think the game is really fun, I enjoyed it a lot. I did find myself just standing on one lane after a bit, I could just keep like that and not move for a while. Also there was a bunch of food coming at one point so it was easy to win the game. I think maybe not having the food spawn so quickly and maybe having an item that does go through 2 lanes as an obstacle would also be good. Also maybe having more confusing kinds of foods so the player has to decide and not just be able to just dodge the burgers and grab most broccoli and that’s easy peazy
The art style is really awesome. Love the old style filter added on top - it definitely got me on edge and I did yell a few times. Scary games are not for me lol. The bad doors are quite hard to get until you know what you are doing. I think maybe it would have benefited to have a bunch more rooms to pick from since after a while the did get a bit repetitive. Great job tho, I definitely could feel scared and wanting to just get out to not be eaten
This is such a cool game and concept!! I grew up with beyblades and definitely took me back. I loved the art direction and the audio fit perfectly with the game. I know it its a prototype but are you thinking on maybe adding more enemies and items? I think it can get repetitive after a bit but it is incredibly fun regardless! Great job!
This is a cool concept but I felt that some sort of score is missing. Since its so random, it feels more like a survival game so it would have been cool to be able to see my progress. It might need a bit more player feedback - like a tell or an icon that pops when something is coming at you. I think the visuals could be improved a bit but all in all its an enyojable game! Very addictive!
This is a fun concept for a game for sure, but I found it got too repetitive too quickly. It would have definitely benefitted from more direction as to what should be collected and what shouldn't. Also the jump felt very heavy and it took me a bit to get used to how I should be jumping.
The many many many socks is what stands out the most to me! I would have loved for them to have more meaning like different power ups or something like that.
I don't think you game is entirely playable and its a bit frustrating. Just "figuring out the recipe" is not good gameplay. You don't have any UI to guide you or something that shows what each people want. Also when you mess up a recipe, you have to wait for the entirety of the sushi to do a spin around and that can get very boring very quickly, mostly beause you are quite literally just guessing.
I really liked the sushi art tho and I like the concept but maybe think of a game like Overcooked in which they still show you the recipe even if its just like a burger and everyone in the world knows how to make a burger. I think main thing is to not make your player guess. That is not fun.
I like this game quite a bit. It has a very easy to understand game loop and the art is really cute. I really enjoyed the animation and the feeback for when the balloon landed on the people. I think maybe in general the UI needs to be more visible and maybe adding an addional person that gives extra points or some kind of other feedback would make it a lot less repetitive.
Also I am really unsure if you actually "cast water balloons" - I feel that you could have gone way more interesting with the chosen theme!
Great job tho, it's really clear to play!
I was not sure how to play this game at first and that make it so I didn't want to keep playing. There is no UI or instructions or a sense of what to do. Also I am unsure if a 2 player game can be thought of a 1 button game but I don't really know.
I wish there was a lot more feedback in general. The monster on the back just going just left and right doesn't really make for good gameplay and after one go I was good and didn't wanted to play more.
Theres just a few comments! Ive had some bugs where the fish swim out of the water that throws me off a bit. Also it seemed to let me go to the next level without playing at all, that was funny. I like the concept and the monochrome art direction!
I think the crosshair could be a little bigger and maybe white or something more visible!
This is such a fun concept and a little bit cursed tbh xd - I like the theme and story too.
As a quick feedback, I am not sure if the time is that visible - it would be fun to add some kind of bigger timer and maybe some kind of feedback that the player has certain amount of seconds left. Also maybe the bar at the bottom could be also pushed up a bit to be more readily visible during gameplay.
But overall this is awesome, great job!
