This is gonna be the game of choice a friend’s first time DMing - we’re all super super super excited to try it out!

The flavor of this game is just delightful. I’m not super clear on the consequences of psionic power - is Ego rolled X separate times or X times together? Is the freakwency table rolled more than once? Separately or taking the highest?

I don’t want an answer!

Each way one could read that line of rules text makes a different sort of game. The reading where Ego is rolled X times, in the same way X dice are rolled for most rolls, means more intense powers are safer to use - this is incredibly funny to me, even though I’m almost sure that’s not intended.
