Was checking my itch and realized I'd missed not one but TWO chapters!! Furious w/ myself. Replayed the entire series thus far and I just... I cannot understate how good it is. Flea will always be my favorite parasite of all time.
As always, your writing is fantastic; so compelling, so breathtakingly gorgeous, and the narratives from beginning to end paint such an incredible picture. My MC (stoic male) being unable to talk about how violated he feels having Ted now know his most closely held and cruel secret (his love for the guy) in the last chapter in the most invasive and terrifying way possible now takes place in my top ten nightmares! Rest in pieces Lucas, I'll bury you with your family.
And the confession scene at the end-- oh my GOD. It is enough. Reciprocity was never the goal, but what Flea replies with, his own perspective on how MC is important to him and in what ways, that's beautiful in its own right and deserves to be treated as such! I backpedaled and read through both endings, but I think the idea of stoic emotionally constipated asshole finally opening up only for it to be rebuffed in the kindest, most meaningful way possible is just... so beautiful?
Also... the covers going from blue to purple makes me wonder... if red is next? Red can symbolize lust and love, but also anger, violence, wrath... hm...
Alright alright, that's all my immediate thoughts, I just had to babble. As always, thank you so much for sharing your lovely writing, sonnet!!!
