itch.io Community » General » General Discussion · Replied to Maxy in why people basicly dont make chinese translation?
You've just never dealt with the technical side of translation. To get Chinese working properly on the Ren'Py engine, you need a ton of dedicated styles for it. And that's just the start—I spent up to 4 days just tweaking the fonts so they wouldn't break the ENTIRE game, while Latin and Cyrillic don't need to be tweaked at all.
And I'm not even mentioning the fact that the game sometimes uses custom fonts, which somehow have to be optimized and adapted for the Chinese fonts.
Long story short, it all looks super easy and simple from the outside, but in practice, very few people are willing to spend that much time on it. Plus, let's not forget that Chinese is considered the HARDEST among popular languages. You can see the quality of machine translation yourself—it turns the game into one massive misunderstanding for a Chinese player. And indie devs DO NOT have the funds to hire proofreaders or pros. All we can hope for is that native speakers will offer to help out of the goodness of their hearts (like it happened with me and other devs).
Should I even mention that Chinese players are restricted by their financial systems? This means a project physically can't get funding from the Chinese audience (and if it can, it's only after a ton of fees and effort on the player's part).
Hope I shed some light on this and answered your question. Look at it from any angle, and the problems sometimes outweigh the practicality. So all hope rests on enthusiasts, and us devs just have to optimize the software so it doesn't break from hieroglyphs.
Ah
finally someone appreciates this beauty ヽ( ̄ω ̄(。。 )ゝ saki_saki helped me out with the opening and ending, so let's give a big shoutout to her (and me!!!). Here's the link to the opening: opening.mp3
If you happen to like it so much that you want to listen to the rest, the entire music library from the novel (including the opening and ending by saki_saki) is available on Patreon for $2.5, and you can download it all. Plus, it's an awesome way to support the project |・ω・)
Press Win + R, then copy and paste %APPDATA% into the window that pops up. Once the folder opens, look for the Renpy folder, and inside it, find all the folders I mentioned above and delete them. That’ll save you +-40 megabytes.
If you were thinking of just using Windows Search to track them down, I hate to break it to you, but File Explorer might not even show those folders, since AppData is hidden by default
P.S.
If you're talking about the actual game files (the ones you launch), you should search for them under the names TSITU or EOFA_ENG. You could also try Edges of Adulthood (in theory, at least, though I don't recall ever actually naming it that).
In this case, the standard Windows search will do the trick just fine
Do you mean PC version?

Thesubscriberistemporarilyunavailable-1729861782
TSITU-1729190575
TSITU-1729190705
These are all the directories the game has ever been named
P.S. The save files for the current version are in the same folder, but under the name EOFA
Just a heads-up: there are no H-scenes in this current part. Also, the story isn't written for those generic tropes like, 'Hero: I want your pussy — Heroine: Here, take my pussy.' The plot leans towards a romantic comedy with elements of drama. The explicit content is secondary and won't be happening anytime soon.

itch.io Community » itch.io » Questions & Support · Created a new topic Hi! Is it possible to delay the withdrawal of funds from a developer's account on itch.io?
Hi, my dear! I'm glad you liked it.
Although I'm not fond of limiting the project with tags, I'll mention upfront that NTR (in the classical sense) is not present in the visual novel.
I suspect the "King's Game" scene may have confused you—in that scene, the protagonist seemingly hesitated and failed to protect the heroine because his relationship with her wasn't "warm" enough. However, if you previously expressed a desire to commit to her and she agreed, I recommend trusting her (•⩊•)
If, on the other hand, you expressed a wish not to tie yourself down with any commitments, or your relationship was so neutral that the topic never came up, there's a chance someone else might "capture" the heroine's heart (this, by the way, applies not only to Doriana) ╮(︶▽︶)╭
But as you understand, this is by no means NTR
Oh, great—so it’s not just me with this problem. Apparently, the site’s inbox is overflowing or something like that :

You’re right—the technique of using black-screen text for internal monologues was indeed inspired by works like Lessons in Love . I love how it immerses players in the protagonist’s thoughts. You might spot other familiar techniques too… You know how it goes: you’re writing, and suddenly realize you’ve ‘reinvented the wheel’ (¬‿¬ ). But isn’t that the essence of creativity—drawing inspiration, reinterpreting, and making something your own? I hope I’ve succeeded
Don’t worry, as I said—it’s not as scary as it seems. The remaster was truly necessary. The goal isn’t to chase perfection but to create what should have been there from the start. Beyond the graphics, there’ll be a lot of new content that should’ve been included but was cut due to time constraints. Thank you for your excitement and support—keep believing in us, and we won’t let you down!

This is my second post about the indexing issue, but the problem remains unresolved. My game unexpectedly disappeared from itch.io’s search engine after an update.
My first support ticket was #272209. After 7 days, I was told to resubmit the request using the email linked to my itch.io account. I did so with ticket #273527, but 14 days later, there’s still no response. What should I do? My game has been missing from search results for nearly a month…

Hello, after 7 days of my initial request, an administrator finally responded to me. However, they refused to process my request and asked me to create a new one because the email I used to contact support did not match the one linked to my itch.io account. In reality, it’s the same email address—on itch.io, the shortened version was displayed, while the messages were sent using the full version. I’ve already updated the address to the full version on itch.io. Anyway, that’s not the main issue. Could I kindly ask you once again to notify the administration? The new ticket number is #273527.
I understand, but I’ve been publishing for almost a year now. Plus, many developers leave links to their games on other platforms, which makes the security checks pointless since files can be replaced at any time. So, I doubt the issue is specifically about file safety. More likely, it’s because I tweaked the tags—there were errors in the original ones. What upsets me now is that the complaint review process will likely take a long time, even though I waited six months for the release, and now it’s gone live without indexing or a chance to appear in the ‘new updates’ section. But thank you for trying to cheer me up ( ̄ ̄|||)
