Yeah it's not just you; sadly part of the screen is cropped for me as well. I only noticed after finishing everything. I'm happy you enjoyed it regardless!

Loved your game! I would greatly appreciate it you played mine

Really liked this game, reminded me a bit of an idle game like cookie clicker mixed with vampire survivors if that makes sense? Its pretty fun to get a bunch of upgrades and end up completely obliterating everything on screen. My main complaint is that the music didn't loop; that track was a banger!
The art is amazing especially the player sprites! I like the music quite a bit too. And the gimmick of the game is pretty unique. I will say its very annoying to fail a spin and have to redo several minutes of very difficult parkour but I came to realise that you should just never spin the wheel until it's 100% guaranteed. It would be nice if there was more of a reason to spin the wheel without resetting everything as a punishment.
As for the gameplay, I think the spike hitboxes are maybe a bit too punishing but other than that I had a lot of fun! I like how each zone slowly ramps up in both difficulty and mechanics, and I loved the mechanic where you swap the block colour. That mechanic really shined especially in level 3 so well done with that. My only other feedback is minor and it's just to tweak some things like adding a dash sfx and adding a hitbox in the bottom corner of screen 1 level 1. Overall it was a great time and I can't wait to see what you cook up in the Brainless Jam!
I think this was a wonderful platformer game with such a simple premise but as the levels progressed it got more and more challenging to the point where I was really struggling but in an enjoyable way. I'm a fan of platformers like Celeste and this gave me similar vibes which I liked.
While levels 1-3 felt coherent in theme (almost like a puzzle game with how i have to search for the screws) the last two levels kind of devolved into geometry dash and minecraft dropper lol. I definitely enjoyed them but they didn't really fit with the rest of the game. And it would've been nice to have a way to look downwards on some screens so that its not just trial and error, but regardless I really did enjoy my time playing this!
I'm not knowledgeable enough about chemistry or physics to fully enjoy this but wow this seems like a super complex game that would be really amazing for a certain type of crowd. The visual style plus the music is what really sold me on this. It's also super simple gameplay wise but I can only imagine the depth it has.
For me personally I followed what instructions said (orange arrow = put blue ball in, and blue arrow = put orange ball in) And I managed to get one of the big balls to level 5 but struggled to do much beyond that point and scored a measly 350 points. I wish there was more of an indication as to how to get the more complex elements but I guess I'm just the wrong audience. Also maybe letting you control the camera when pushing a ball could be nice. Otherwise this is a really impressive game and i love the ambience and aesthetic so much!
The visuals are amazing; you captured the old timey game aesthetic very well. Plus the cool character designs and level. The combat is also pretty decent how you have to choose what attack colour to use at different times. But there was no music when it would really fit this game. No objective, so i kind of just ran around shooting until i got bored. And no progression; like it would be nice if there were waves that slowly got harder. I didn't really enjoy my time playing it for those reasons. But it's a pretty good foundation for what could be a nice game in the future!
If you're looking for an n64 game then you HAVE to play this. Spinny-Roly 64
https://clumsy103.itch.io/fidget-fighters I made this completely solo other than the background art and cover/menu art so I'm curious what you all think. It is a bit unfinished but I'm proud of what I got done and I wanna see what you think of it!
An actual game jam masterpiece. I have no idea how two of you packed in so much content but I loved it. Slowly learning and mastering the movement was so fun and ofc the visuals and music were off the charts. You outdid yourselves. I guess my only feedback is to make the enemies more important to the game, like maybe they drop something when you squash them or maybe some enemies can pose a bigger threat. Outside of that it's pretty much perfect and I hope you expand this into a paid steam release one day.
The art is super cute and the gameplay loop is so creative. I like how similar to Balatro it feels while also having a completely unique gameplay style. And getting each upgrade is quite fun. My main complaint is that it feels impossible to choose where I want to spin because the arrow rotates so damn fast; I'd like for it to be a tad bit slower to add some more strategy. Plus maybe letting you zoom out if you want so you can understand where you wanna launch yourself. And maybe make it a bit clearer what's giving you points (symbols of rocks/trees etc at the top right score?) But honestly you did a great job and it's an amazing game.
The combat for this game is probably the best in the jam, it's so fun! The parry timing is pretty tough to get down but it's super satisfying when you do. Plus all the abilities you unlock are great and add depth. The setting is cool; I like how the crowd throws you money if you do well and how you can descend to go to the shop. Also the visuals for the game are so damn good. I guess my only complaint is that it seems you can only heal once and then it becomes unavailable afterwards? I'd love to see this game expanded upon with new enemies, abilities, etc. Such a cool game!
Sadly I didn't understand the combat or objective much - like my goal is to earn credits but I struggled to understand how. I just went around spamming A to parry enemies (which wasn't explained in-game) and walked around the map until I got bored. If there is actual combat then I'd love to return to it since the visuals are super cool and you really captured that retro theme. Cool game!
Absolutely beautiful art and music - it is so cosy and I really love the atmosphere. As for the gameplay, I like how the timing for the direction you need to face speeds up overtime and it gets pretty hard.
At first I struggled to understand the game - Do I match each suit from each card onto the right symbol? When that failed, I realised I can just spam mouse click and ascend easily. I thought I was cheesing the game but as far as I know this is how you progress. I don't like how much you have to constantly click - maybe let us hold down a key instead? Either way, it's a gorgeous game that I enjoyed my time in.
Pretty fun idea and game! I never would've expected a fishing beat-em-up game but here we are. I do have a couple nitpicks though;
While the idea is fun, the combat is a bit rough. When you have like 4 people on you there's not much you can do to take them down - I'd love for punches to be buffed so I can defend myself a little more. Also I'd love to be able to stop mid fish to defend myself, maybe even add a way to regain health if possible? But yeah this is a cool game and thanks for making it.
I understand it's a test of physical endurance but man as soon as I accidently left full screen and I couldn't turn the camera anymore, I just gave up because this game had worn me down. Great theme though, you really captured how it would feel to be in this show. It's almost like a clicker game but done in an unconventional way. It just gets boring and repetitious for better or for worse lol. Great game and idea nonetheless.
While it's definitely a unique concept and fits the jam theme for sure, I think the enemy encounters are frustrating because they mostly match your speed so it's really hard to get away from them to attack them, and they melt your health. I just felt no incentive to keep playing (also I died so much that the music didn't loop lol) But it looks cool at least and good job on finishing it on time!
This is super creative! And also pretty hard towards the end lol, anytime I got to level 10 on stage 4 the time had nearly hit 5pm! The gameplay gets a little old; it would be cool if there were more minigames like minesweeper for example. And I did find a bug where I had a yellow/green box around me on the cubicle maze stage sadly. But yeah super cool game.
This is one of my favourites. I think the music and art are absolutely stunning and the gameplay loop is simple to understand yet extremely addicting. Maybe it's not super on theme but it's absolutely unique and creative. I like how in one playthrough you can go aggressive and bestial while in another you can go high humanity and spare everyone.
I will say; I think it would be nice if there was still some combat in a high humanity run. What if you could get attacked by other beasts if your humanity is high enough but get spared by them if your humanity is low enough? That could be a cool mechanic that means you're not longer safe from combat when you have high humanity. Either way, excited to see whatever direction you take this game because it has major potential. Thank you for making it.
Aw I was so sad when the game ended because I wanted more lol. This was far more enjoyable than I expected, I love the goofy art style and yeah the gameplay loop is perfect. MAYBE make the difference between grass and path easier to tell apart because I sometimes got punished when I barely touched the grass but maybe that's intentional. And if you expand on it, I think you should do a level select. Either way, fantastic game.
This was quite addicting! I really enjoyed the gameplay loop of flying around in a dogfight and occasionally upgrading to make yourself more powerful. And once I discovered boosting it got even more fun. Sadly the lag detracted from the fun a little but still I quite enjoyed it. I just wish there was a soundtrack, I can only imagine how cool a 1940s style mixed with retro sounds would be
Extremely tough with a lot of depth. I like how it has that Celeste style of brutal difficulty but low punishment. The art design with those parallax backgrounds; my god it's gorgeous. And those ost is addicting. My only criticisms is to reduce the lag that I have; either through optimisations or through lower graphics / effects if that's possible
I really enjoyed this game. I liked it so much that I got the score over 1 quintillion before stopping lol. The art and music are super charming and its a fun premise too. My main feedback would be to have either a reroll price that scales the more you do it, or have the upgrade price scale much more because later on it's so cheap to upgrade in the shop, that I was just mindlessly upgrading without thinking. And there was zero threat of hitting anything bad on the wheel anymore. But yeah well done with the game I quite liked it.
This is such an incredible game! The art style is super unique and amazing, the gameplay is super well thought out and fun, plus there's a great progression system with a really cool boss fight at the end. With some more polishing and content, this is the kind of game you could put on steam! And you're saying this was made in a week???
