Really cool and fun! A roguelike (I assume) like this could use buffer clicks
I think the game would benefit a lot if the player had a window after they left the platform to jump. There were many times where I felt as if I should've been able to jump off the platform but I wouldn't be able to because I wasn't completely touching the platform. However I feel the spinning platforms has a lot of potential if the controls were a little more polished.
I have a recurring problem with platformers, that is if i lost the tiniest bit of contact with the platforms i cannot jump anymore so i've fallen a lot. This feels ingame like the game cheated me by not giving me the jump. Don't play much platformers usually, so i don't know if successful titles should feel like this or not, but it was frustrating for me. And slipperyness was quite harsh too, but it's advertised as a rough one, so i think ultimately i have skill issue lol.
The music was really great, visuals were good too. I just couldn't enjoy it bc of the difficulty.
Had some zooming issues with the title screen but otherwise fun challenge
Well it is hardcore for sure, the first platform itself was a challenge initially :P Cute animations and the music fits the theme well!
Super fun! Background just hurts my eyes :( Love the animations!
I really like the art style (the main character is cute, and the scrolling Earthbound-style background gives a nice vibe). The music is also solid. The platforming is difficult, but I agree with what seems to be the consensus here in that I'm not sure it feels like it's fair. A lot of the difficulty comes from trying to maintain your position so that you're always on the side of a platform that's moving up, because otherwise it falls out from under you and steals your jump, which unfortunately feels frustrating rather than just being a pure challenge. I agree that adding some coyote time, or just a little more leeway on how far you can be from a platform in order to regain your jump, would help a lot. On solid ground, though, the movement and jump felt nice; so I think the bones are solid, and with a few tweaks this could be really cool!
This was tough, mainly due to the limit on when you could jump. Sometimes it looked like you should still be able to, but it wouldn't jump. I'm assuming the jump was limited to when standing on the ground, and the reason it felt off was the change in when the spot you were standing rotated to not being the ground anymore even if visually it looked like you were standing on something you should be able to jump from. The jump not responding as expected really increased the challenge, but not in a way I enjoyed. I managed to get to the rotating platforms before the thing that smashes down, but that's when I was not up for trying again. The concept works well for the theme, but it would be more enjoyable for me if there was a bit more leeway on the jumps, or perhaps a bit more visual queue to go by for when you can and can't jump.
I like it but you could make it easier, maybe add cap jumping(I mean when you leave a platform to be able to jump for 0.1 sec even if you're on air) and make the platforms spin slower
Fun platformer and nice music! The jumping could've maybe been a little more forgiving, but other than that nicely done!
Good game. The idea is very nice and uses the theme in a nice and interesting way. I do wish however, that the jumping was more responsive or that I could just hold down jump rather than timing it. With this rework, I think the game could become even better. (:
the marshmellow guy is cute.. but if spinning is the theme, some blocks rotating in a platformer which is normal behavior is not cutting it for me. especially when those are THAT frustrating, making one spam space because interacting with the theme element of the parkour feels buggy. Now that i finished it, Im sorry for that marshmellow dude, for that is his world he lives in. "hardcore platformer" dont get hardcore through bad mechanics, thats not how it should be labeled as. Focus should have been put to the core gameplay before adding more levels.
very cute music though :3
after trying this game and failing, i woke up at 4 am after seeing this game in my dream, i was like "i HAVE to finish this." so i came back and finished it, overall pretty solid game, some resoulition issues and the art and audio can certainly be improved, pretty amazing game nonetheless tho!
This is a super fun game. I really enjoyed it!!
Fun game but same issue with jumping. Love the background music and sound effects!
The idea is fun to have all things in the world spinning, however as others have pointed out already as well the jumping doesn't feel very responsive while interacting with all the spinning platforms. The visuals are nice though good that you added some juicer effects.
its a nice game but i think you should make the jumping easier, half of the time if the platform starts rotating i couldnt jump even if i smash the space button
I found it really hard; I didn't even get past the beginning.
Very cool! Its quite hard but its still fun
I like the bounciness of the player. He's so squishy!
I found some of the spinning platforms were a bit glitchy.
It added to the already tricky platforming.
A fun experience, well done.
