Wow this game is extremely realistic and serious. The fact that my guy was panting severely like he just ran a marathon after talking to a few people is an accurate depiction of an introvert. And the fact that I had practically no energy all the time is also extremely realistic. Also how I was never trained for the job and the manager immediately asked me why I wasn't working when I just started was peak realism.

Thank you for playing! You've nailed it perfectly, our game is actually secretly a super serious and realistic shitty job simulator. Its educational purpose is to show people the dangers of overwork and following the work quota blindly. We thought that these themes are criminally underrepresented in our popular media and educational curricula. Work kills people in real life every day, you know!

Very interesting concept and I thought it was very creative that you picked dialog options through a spinning wheel as well. I completed the three tasks everyday, and did 2 of them green, but I still didn't reach the 100% quota and I don't think I could do the same task twice? Maybe I missed something, but I died at day 3 sadly. I think maybe energy dropped down a little too fast? other than that, I think the game had an interesting concept and I was curious to find out what happened when you interacted with the characters as well!

Thank you for the comment!

You absolutely should be able to perform each task more than once a day! There is a small chance that, when you are working on the conveyor belt, it can break, thus preventing you from doing this job until you fix it, but other than that, you should be able to work at each station multiple times a day. And also, you don't have to do it perfectly each time; in fact, doing it so-so might be more beneficial in terms of time-to-energy ratio. As for the energy, there are ways to replenish it, like a couch or talking to some of the coworkers.

With that said, your comment indicates to me that the balance may be a bit off and we should give the player more time to learn the ropes. Much to consider.

I did break the machine once and repaired it, and then I was able to use it a second time! Maybe I was just stupid. I also didn't realize that talking took energy, so I just yapyapyapped which was probably why I always had low energy, even if I did sleep on the couch once. I did see the snacks as well, but I had no money haha. I hope my incoherent messages can help a little with the rest of the development haha, good luck!!

Your feedback is most helpful, thanks again for playing! And good luck to you with your project too, you've made a hell of a fun game :)

Good game! I died of starvation before the npcs could agree to unionize. Capitalism won this time!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad that you've liked our game, and deeply sorry that you starved before being able to unionize. I hope this game has taught you some valuable lessons so that this situation will never happen to you in real life!

Yo this game is super underated, this is fire! I like how interactive things are, like all the animations and sound effects. The gameplay is pretty cool too, especially talking to coworkers. I absolutely love the art and the drawings of the coworkers!

Developer

Hey, thank you so much for the comment! I'm happy to hear that you've liked our game - especially talking to coworkers, which was the part that we dedicated a lot of time and effort to. I'm glad it worked out for you in the end!

Tough little game.  I kept working myself to death and failing to get enough to eat.  Management wouldn't pay enough or let me sleep, and coworkers never wanted to unionize. Felt too real :P
If I could offer improvements, it'd be to maybe adjust the pay or stamina system a little. Felt like I was rushed to try and accomplish anything and couldn't do any one thing well.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Although it might sound weird, I'm glad that you found the game hard and failed because that was kinda the point we were trying to make. The actual solution to the situation is to go and talk to your coworkers, but each of them requires a very specific approach; straightforward agitation for the union might not work for most of them.

With that said, I agree that there is a space for improvement on the balance side; making stamina and the pay system less punishing at the start could have given more time for the player to adjust to the system and understand the ropes before the real challenge begins. Definitely something to look after in the future.

Really funny game! I loved walking around the factory, chatting with the coworkers, and trying to sleep without getting caught, it was all super fun. I also loved the art and the sound effects.

The music does get a bit annoying, and the 'working' minigame isn't the most enjoyable part; I would have loved to see some more variations of it.

Either way, congrats on the game!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game and for the feedback!

I'm glad you've enjoyed chatting with coworkers! The couch was a late addition to the game, but I'm glad that more and more people are enjoying interacting with it.

As for the work minigame, I see what you're saying. We were trying to make it more varied by changing rotation rhythm, speed, and sector area, but apparently that wasn't enough. On the other hand, the work WAS meant to be uninteresting, in contrast to the interactions with coworkers; this is one of the main points of the game. So weirdly I kinda see your feedback as validating our core design philosophy :)

Love the world building of your coworkers, and really cool that you found multiple applications for the same wheel spinning mechanic :)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I'm delighted to hear that you've liked the coworkers; they were very important for us to pin down correctly, since the game is all about building connections with people and overcoming workplace individualization.

i slept through the whole game

Developer

Oh wow, that's really impressive! How did you managed not to die from hunger because of the lack of money?

I really enjoyed trying to talk to coworkers and the art style!

I couldn't keep at the minigames after day 2, sadly.  For me peronally, filling up the green portion of the wheel was not very engaging.

I recommend leaning into the coworkers and their stories, that part was very interesting!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the comment!

I'm glad you liked the coworkers part! And thank you for your feedback on the work minigame. I suppose its tediousness is kind of the part of the statement of the game - that work is hard and often unrewarding and has to be endured despite your wish to just abandon it. But I see your point too. If that helps, you do not actually need to fill the green part all the time; it can actually be more effective to just do the hackwork (as the name implies), and then you will have more time to speak to your coworkers and do other stuff.

Anyway, thank you for playing. I'm glad you've enjoyed our game!

Ooh I see! That's a cool spin(oops) on the pass/fail nature of these kind of minigames, but an oaf like me will never realize it unless there is an obvious hint.

Good Game! It was a little hard to get the hang of at first but after that it was good.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked our game :)
What was the hardest thing for you to understand in the beginning? We would appreciate any feedback that would help us make game more accessible to players.

Probably where to go to work, because i was kinda walking around and trying to figure out where to be :D So maybe like some arrows pointing towards some workstations might work? :-)

Developer

Gotcha, thanks for the feedback! We'll see how we can improve this
