Hello - I'd like to help you reach 20+ ratings which is the 'qualifying' number of ratings. We're here in the final week, and I think a lot of people are slowing down on the amount they are rating, So - if you're trying to get to that goal, then put a comment below. But first, please read

The Rules:

No copy-paste. I will be ignoring any comments that were spammed across posts. If you want me to try your game, please write something creative, like tacocat spelled backwards.
Web playable only - sorry, I'm just not going to download games this jam :(
Only games with <20 ratings, please (I'll give some grace here, if you're close, feel free to post. I won't fault someone a little bit over, especially since you are actively rating others and asking people to rate yours)

I hope everyone understands and is ok to follow my rules :) I just wanna spend this last week helping out those who need it. Feel free to link other people's games too and not just your own if they need a bit of help.

Hmm, so I played your game and really liked it. The problem is - your game was much more creative than your comment above :(

I think in penance for only kinda following my rules, you should rate and comment on these two gents (they might even rate you in return) We gotta all get up to 20+ ratings! :)

We DON'T care if you play our game! (we actually do please play it) It's probably to scary for you and to complicated! (it is scary but you're the guy you got this, game is a simple horror), We DON'T need your rating! (well we are close at 17 atm so we will get to 20 eventually but we just want as many people to try out our game, we are extremly proud of it!) So yeah, play, don't play, WE DON'T CARE! (we really care, please play our game, and share your experience, leave feedback, we apreciate all of it!)

I made a platformer but due forgot that the dev is usually a lot better at the game than players so think it may now be classed as a rage game!

Quite sure I just recently reached 20 votes, but when my friend played my game, the light in his eyes went away, so I want to see it happen to more people

Recommend reading the how-to-play, as we didn't make an in-game tutorial.

Also tacocat, Tacocat is a good card game, just don't play it with watches or rings on....Drew blood too many times.

Thanks for the tip, I read the how-to play and referenced it as I tried to save the poor planets lol. Yes tacocat - that can be a strategy - get one of those old timey rings with a sharp diamond lol.

Dumb question, this is my first Game Jam so I am unfamiliar with the +20 rating rule. What is it?

It means that you have to get at least 20 ratings to qualify to win regardless of your score. It so someone can't get one 5 star rating from a friend and then win the jam. It's also supposed to get a variety of people to rate your game so it isn't as bias towards the rater's personal preferences.

Oh sweet. I figured the system was set up in a way that you scored depended more so on how many people rated along with how good your ratings were. Thanks for the info!

Yep, some jams have "weighted score" vs "raw score" where they take into account how many ratings you got. But not Brackeys. If you have 20 ratings, you can win just as much as if you had 100 ratings

Now tbf, I know I'm not going to win. There are too many other games that I recognize are better than the one I submitted - after all this is only the second jam I've been in. But it's fun to have personal goals. So 20 is a cool number to have as a goal because you are then eligible to win.

My first jam, 20 was my goal (which we got! yay). This Jam my goal was 30 ratings, which I have got too. So I hope to do well in the rankings, but my goals are met, and the fun part is trying other people's games and helping them reach their goals. And getting feedback on comments so I can learn

Yeah, I am sort of in the same boat. This Game Jam I made my first ever game, so I knew it was a very rough demo. I just really wanted to prove to myself I could actually make something that resembles a functioning game. I also really wanted a benchmark so I could compare myself to the results I get in the next game jam. Do you happen to know if we will get just one ranking or if we will get a ranking for each section?

We'll get a ranking in each section and one for overall. This is what mine looked like from last time btw

(see it says raw score as opposed to adjusted, but I also saw people who had fewer than the median and their score was not adjusted either)

Ooh that's creative - I tried your game: did you have a world that does upside down? If so I did not get that far. I think the space world was my favorite.

I did have a world where you could shift the gravity counter clockwise or the blocks would shift it in whatever direction they were pointing, I think it was the 8th and/or 9th level. I'd have to check to be sure
