Great job! Though I could really use an upgrade of the thrusters

Thanks for playing. Could you elaborate? I’m not sure I understand what you had a problem with specifically.

It's fun and quite addictive actually! One of the few in this jam I've spent over an hour playing. Not sure what he's on about lol

Neat concept! I enjoyed it. I think my longest link was about 40 :)

shame to modals were in shambles - I got greeted was able to connect 2 nodes before the tutorial and was conpletely confused when it appeared, and it appeared every time I died

Developer

The confusion was kinda intentional. But I guess it really would have made more sense to show that first story screen before the gameplay…

it appeared every time I died

It should reveal a new entry after each run. But point taken!

hmm, it was the same two pages I think

Sounds good and looks good.

It felt very difficult to get more than one or two links before I ran out of fuel. It seemed like the ship kept its momentum in the first run, but as soon as I released the left mouse after that it stopped dead.

Developer

Hmm, that’s odd! The only decrease in velocity should be when the right mouse button is pressed.

Very interesting concept and the lumina bounces are very satisfying, both visually and the sound. The chain effect looks so nice. Would be great to see this concept evolved further with some more mechanics.

Great loop, loved the subtle gameplay.

Microfreak mentioned yeah

I’m not sure how the mechanics really work, but I like the pretty stuff happening on my screen while connecting nodes and the SFX are very chill :)

Developer

Thanks for playing. It was unfortunate the mechanics came out so unintuitive, and pretty clear from most feedback that the vague story screens didn’t help much either.

Slick little experience. I'm not sure if the two mystery upgrades I was let with would eventually unlock, but by the time I felt like I must be getting close, everything was feeling a bit samey and I checked out a bit.

I'm not entirely sure why some nodes are going dormant, but there is something there.

Developer

not entirely sure why some nodes are going dormant

That’s (kind of) explained in the story after the 4th run: https://github.com/dstoc/bevy-jam-6/blob/main/src/plugins/story.rs#L21

Thanks for playing!

Nice game! liked the effects between the nodes!

Love the visuals, and the momentum based flying combined with the limited fuel led to some interesting gameplay. Liked the progression system, although it wasn't super obvious to me what each of the upgrades did.

This was pretty cool, I think some variation in the sounds and maybe some music could add a lot.
