Game Engine
Loved the wheel momentum and how you utilized spinning in this game! The visuals helped to compliment the game's theme, I love stocks wooo!
Great level design and feel to the game! Loved the music and sound effects. The physics had a great rhythm but the mouse got stuck in some places and I had to go backwards to regain momentum which made it hard to plan jumps. I also really loved the anchor point mechanic it was really fun and intuitive.
Cool physicsy puzzley game! There were some tricky timing and puzzle moments that took me a while to get through. It was interesting having the money kind of act as your HP, slowly draining and creating more time pressure.
Glad to see another mouse wheel game (ours is also one :D)
I found the audio and level design nice. The theme also is really funny!
Some things I would add/change: The mouse spinning also after I jump makes it really hard to plan jumps, also I got stuck a bunch of times between platforms, I think there could be a mechanic of getting stuck sth like the bombs happening where it would make the mouse wheel jitter and get out of that stuck place, or to have checkpoints. I got frustrated being well into the game and being stuck into to platforms and having to restart from the very beginning. I think also the bomb mechanic is good that is there but I would add a certain jump and acceleration mechanic to it, like what is happening now but sometimes in a direction beneficial to the player, so the player takes the "risk" to lose some money and go on them in order to advance the level faster. Also cool game title :D
Very cute! I like the rats in the background spinning some of the environment pieces and the stock timer. The starting movement was a bit slow for more, but it's fun.
Good if a bit short. The wheel having momentum was a bit frustrating to control, but in a fun way that was obviously intentional.
The game doesn't scale properly if full-screened on an ultrawide display
Overall a very solid game! I had some trouble with the stairs. A bit more grip on the wheel would've helped, so that the stairs don't require precise jumping (in case you get stuck on one). Using the market as a timer/score combination was a nice idea and the art style is very cute
IMO the mines shouldn't push you backwards but outward from the center of the mines. That way they could be used as an additional mechanic, costing you market value for jumps.
I had a good time with this game! The art is very cute, the idea of keeping your funding up is a good replacement for a timer, and I love the concept of building up momentum and using it to jump and clear gaps was well done!
I think the only problems I had was with jumps not being buffered occasionally and quickly moving in the opposite direction seemed to have very little effect on the wheels velocity.
Hey great game! Out of all the games I play tested this was one that definitely stood out to me. Probably a mix between the cute art and animation for the mouse and for the funny idea. It's also cool seeing the "Press r to restart button" and knowing I influenced the decision to put that there! The thumbnail also looks really well made with the classic stock market arrows! Great job! I wish you and your game luck during this rating period!
I beat it in 73 seconds! (after 4 tries lol, but we did it!)
It's fun, I liked it. I love the artstyle and the animation of the rat running haha.
The stairs are a little frustrating to climb though, it would be a big imrpovement if you could stop faster, if you pickup too much speed, you can't stop.
Cute little platformer, love the ability to stop on platforms to spin the other platforms
