Simon Franklin

Simon Franklin (1953) è uno storico e professore britannico esperto in slavistica presso l'Università di Cambridge, nel Regno Unito. È membro del Clare College.

Nel 2007 gli è stata conferita la Medaglia d'oro Lomonosov dall'Accademia russa delle scienze per i suoi straordinari risultati nella ricerca sulla storia e la cultura russa. Nelle sue opere si è soffermato perlopiù sulla ricostruzione degli eventi storici avvenuti nella Rus' di Kiev, nella Russia tardo-medievale e del principio dell'età moderna e, infine, sulla storia della letteratura russa.
