✧ I have a lot of characters, who get varying amounts of attention, but Ahru is XIV Blorbo #1.

✧ I love NPCs and shipping with NPCs and you will find a lot of that here.

✧ You’ll find a gratuitous amount of my gposes here. I’m just here to have fun and put my blorbos in situations.

✧ I also occasionally write fic, and expel ranting word walls about my characters if prompted. Sometimes even if I’m not. Beware.

✧ I reblog a lot. It’s probably 99% strictly Final Fantasy XIV, with occasional memes that I relate to XIV or characters, and very occasional world news signal boosts. Most everything else goes to my sideblogs.

Heads up: I have a dedicated AU for Alphinaud that includes major spoilers for the latter half of 7.0. I mostly tag anything with blatant spoilers accordingly, but it’s highly likely for something to slip through the cracks so please take that into account if you’re not current on MSQ. THE COMIC FINALLY GETS A PROPER COVER AFTER 4 YEARS

And today is its anniversary, yes. I'll talk about that in a separate post, here I just wanna point out that everything in this cover is an act.

No one shows his true self, leaning fully into theatrics and playing self-imposed roles. Vivi presents himself as just a little guy compared to these two enigmas larger than life. His white silhouette is obviously the Light, but also a nod to the old cover that you still can find in episode 1: ViviRaha's dramatic silhouettes picking up the fragments of their lives and forming hearts out of them. That's still the end destination of the comic, but I wanted something that shows where the plot currently is.

The composition is perhaps the strongest I've ever made: X symbolizing mystery, crossroads, conflict, rejection, death. Also the shape of the hourglass, time looming over all three of them. YEAH.

Favorite thing about Azem and their shards is the sheer amount of, "How are you not dead yet?" their soul embodies.

Because Hythlodaeus, upon watching WoL take a shot of magic to the chest for him and then get thrown off a ridiculously tall building is just like, "Yeah, that tracks." Meaning that's a patented Azem Maneuver. Just face-tanking damage to protect someone without thinking of other options like, I don't know, magical barrier?

And then there's, y'know, Ardbert striking out on his first little adventure and being found half dead in a ditch somewhere by a conjurer who just happened to be walking by.

WoL's passing out half the time in ARR because their Echo powers are Too Great as soon as they get to Eorzea. Gets bodied by Lahabrea.

Like, yeah, they inherit the Bad Ass-ness of their progenitor but, uh. Also the propensity to have Mishaps. (Which, if the real Golbez is a shard...fatal.)
