Now then...is anyone doing NaNoWriMo? My name there is Angel of Music. Yes, I know. So unobvious, right? ^^; Yeah, I figured it out: 50,000 words is easy to achieve if I write 1,667 words per day. Right now I have 3,588, so I'm a bit over that for two days...^^; If anyone's interesting in reading it when I finish (hopefully at the end of November or else a little bit after), I'd be happy to let you.
Um...I had a Halloween party last Friday and we watched Zim. ^^ Yeah, it was great because it was the first time April's sister had seen it...so she got confused when Kyle and I were quoting it like crazy. ^^ Yay for obsessiveness.

I don't really remember. I think I was just randomly surfing the web for Invader Zim stuff, and just randomly came across that board. At least I think that's how it happened.
iii: Why did you come there?
Well, I was highly obsessed with IZ, so, yeah...XD
iv: Met any friends there?
Heck yes! Why would I be here otherwise? XD
v: How did going there change your life?
Oh, don't even get me started on this! XD I made some great friends there, and not to mention being at the board made me learn that typin lyk dis is not intelligent. The board helped me majorly mature. If I didn't go to that board, I would be hanging around entirely different people now.

Just by wandering around and happening upon random things. Started at the Sailor Moon board – hee, I'm sure someone will remember that — and moved on to the Toonami board, and then to the Pokémon board. Those were my three main boards. (Oh, how I miss the "VUPLY IZ TEH M33N!!!1111" threads. I do love my n00b-roasting. :D) Then I came to the IZ MB, described in further detail below.

Well. I had become pretty good friends withMelody Laine and Lizzie, and they both demanded that I start going to the Invader Zim message board (since it is truly the closest thing to MB heaven there is XD). I was kind of reluctant at first, thinking they wouldn't want me there since I hardly watched the show at all, but they ended up forcing me into it. Never imagined I'd end up staying there so long. <3

Eh..Jeeze. Let me do some thinking. I'm 16 now, first started at the boards when I was 11...So maybe two years, or three years in I stumbled across IZ...So maybe 13-14? Yes? o__O So that's 2003? MAYBE?

The actuall message boards? My sister found them. I was eleven and was in love with Sailor Moon, so she tried finding Sailor Moon related things on AOL. The message boards popped up, and they were my home away from home.
I found the IZ board because I think I wanted to check it out after some IZ boardies invaded the Toonami board...o_o
iii: Why did you come there?
I think it was the period when the Sailor Moon board was a little dead. We just lost some key people who kept it alive, and since I was a flesh-eating reg, I needed flesh to kill. So I traveled to the Toonami board, found friends and n00bs to eat. Strangely enough, I remember the IZ boardies causing a ruckus over at Toonami, or at least Mes did. So Mes and I didn't start off too well. I went over to the IZ board just to check it out and see how many heads I could slice before I made them retreat out of Toonami. Then I found it was a civilized board.
iv: Met any friends there?
Why of course I did. Everyone who's in this community. I remember not getting along with Mes though. I knew Zil when she was a terrorizing n00b, but she matured in the IZ board...I already knew Vulpi, and IAX lurked there too...I knew Candi from Toonami and Pokemon, and maybe Sailor Moon. The only two that were new people to me that are still my friends are Amanda and Syreita.(Oh spelling, oh my.) The rest I spotted around somewhere or other.
So yeah. Friends to boot.
v: How did going there change your life?
Well, to be honest, I came to the IZ board pretty late in the game, so it didn't impact me all too much. The Sailor Moon board is my true home, and it has affected me like IZ has affected you all.
Suprise suprise, I started out like any newbie. (The term n00b wasn't even around until I was a reg.) And I grew up there. I learned to be mean, ruthless, critical, and I loved it. (To this day, I don't know where that attitude has gone and I miss it.) Yeah. And it was at a time in my "real world" life that I needed these friends. It was really a home for me. At 13 I started out to different boards making it known who I was and what I had accomplished. (I was a snooty, arrogent child. "LOOK I'M A REG! I'M BETTER THAN EVERYONE".) Exactly.
I met friends for life. When I'm in college, I want to visit every single one of them. Hana and I even promised to go clubbing in Boston in two years. o_o;
It's pretty awesome, guys. The people you meet. And I was there for 5 years, I kept in touch with those who meant the most.
This would be a group hug enforcement time. >DD
And, fyi, we lost AOL to Adelphia last year sometime. But I can still go on an hour a month without charges. Go figure. So I do sometimes and lurk...
