You expect me to just stand there and let your temper embarras me InuYasha! I think not!!

Kagome heard her name being called out behind her, but she was so upset at the moment that she didn't really care. Alot of things had happened today and this just took the icing on the cake. Of course she would forgive him for being thoughtless, rude, and inconsiderate... but she also needed time to think. With everything that had happened today, why this? Why now? She let out a sigh as the path she took, brought her to the lake. She stopped and crouched down, not quite sitting, picking at some blades of grass and fallen leaves and tossing them in the water. She figured she could make a small game out of it... see which speck of torn foliage would make it the farthest once it started floating in the water. But that was dumb... she was just wasting time.

She let out a sigh, "Oh...." her chest was hurting and all of a sudden she felt rather lonely. She rose to her feet and looked behind her... hoping that InuYasha would come around the corner for her any second. When she didn't see him... she felt her heart drop into her stomach. "Dammit..." she whispered, "this is the hundredth time today I have started crying over him..." she hiccuped as tears started forming in her eyes. "After I promised him things would get better if we just worked on it... but why is it so hard?" She turned back to the lake and actually sat on the grass, hugging her knees to her chest and covering her face with her arms, hiding it in the pocket her folded body created. She wasn't going to cry... nope... she was going to be strong and just hide her pain. That's right. If she hid it... no one else would see it.

Late nights and welcomed mornings...

Sesshoumaru closed his eyes with a small smile still on his lips from the last time Kikyo kissed him. He loved the feeling of her lips touching his and he couldn't wait for it to happen again. Of course he couldn't wait for other things to happen again as well.

He stopped his thoughts and took a deep breath. What was coming over him? He usually didn't care about this stuff, especially after getting his heart ripped out by the dark hand of death, but now... He inwardly shrugged the question he didn't feel like answering and let his body melt into hers.

"Please don't let this be a one night thing," he whispered to the god of love and let himself fall closer to sleep.

...................

Sesshoumaru woke up the next morning feeling the warmth of the sun on his body and the sound of the alarm clock ringing in his ears. He grumbled and opened his eyes to see that the small black end table didn't hold the contraption that was now starting to give him a slight headache. Realizing his mistake, he turned around and went to turn it off.

Along his the way to the clock, he saw Kikyo and his heart jumped. 'Still here!' his mind cried with joy. He wanted to lay a kiss on the lips he mused about last night, but knew the alarm clock was more important at this moment.

Sesshoumaru lifted himself and reached over the girl and quickly hit the off button. Relaxing a bit, he took his time getting back to the other side of the bed and placed a small kiss on her forehead. He then moved himself so his feet were firmly planted on the floor and sat there looking at the cream curtains that outlined the white blinds which, in turn, hid some of the sun from coming into the semi-dark room.

She's moving in today. As if she hasn't already. The small smile he went to sleep with came back and only faltered when he remembered the alarm woke him up for something important: work.

"I'm your master, am I?" he quietly chuckled. "But don't worry, I don't think I could ever get sick of you."

He held her hand as they walked across campus to the art building where they would make a left to his apartment. I guess it's ours now...

He wondered what tonight was going to bring. Back in the dorm room, Sesshoumaru knew where his body wanted it to go, but he didn't know if things would get back to that once they were in his apartment. He didn't even know if he was going to be all that great.

"I don't mind," he said as they came upon the apartment complex and to his door. "Here it is."

He took his keys out of his bag and opened the door. He turned on the lights and walked into his living room and to the "dining room" behind it. Sesshoumaru turned on those lights as well, looking at the picture he painted earlier in the day.

He turned around and smiled, "This is the dining room and the living room. To the right of me and down that hallway are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen his to the left of me and that's it."

Sesshoumaru looked around his apartment and at the light blue walls that held a touch of gray. "You can put your stuff on the couch," he offered, pointing to the black leather couch he was able to get on sale that sat behind a glass coffee table facing the television on the other wall.

"Would you like something to drink?"

Decorate however you like, art is sexy...

Kikyou was smiling so easily that she was amazed Sesshoumaru didn't think she was slow in the head. She scratched at her head with the hand he let go of, trying hard to resist the urge to pounce him on the bed. The fact that it was her roommates bed was stopping her for right now, but not for long.

"Well the other thing is I didn't feel comfortable putting my life on display for someone that I didn't even get to pick to live with. It's funny because I guess Kagome and I do sort of look alike, but I can't help but notice all of our differences. It's like we could be related on some level, but I've been through a little more." Kikyou got quiet, walking over to pick up the picture of her mother.

"My mom is actually moving in a few weeks, which is why I need to get a job and get out of the dorms. Her job is relocating her, and I can't go. College is more important to her, so I'm honoring her wishes. I don't know if I said this before, but you pretty much have me convinced that even if I'd just get a small section of wall, two drawers, and outlet for my computer, and a sofa to sleep on I'd be ready to move out tonight. I don't have a lot of stuff, two suitcases and one box, and anything is better than here."

Putting the picture down, she walked over and sat next to Sesshoumaru and laughed softly. "Do you know how embarrassing it is to inadvertently flirt with your roommates boyfriend the first full night of college, and then not an hour later to realize that you inspired such jealousy in her that he's probably getting screwed senseless tonight?"

She took his hand, idly tracing patterns on the back of the hand as she moved to her bed. "I'm not jealous of them, I'm actually happy for her because she seems like a great girl. I just feel stupid for the few minutes any thought of actually hitting on him went through my head..."

She couldn't look up at him, her cheeks were a light pink and she could feel her face burning. She was pretty sure she had spilled way too much about herself tonight, but she didn't regret it knowing you only live once.

Alcohol... works wonders on the mind.

It had been a few drinks into the hour, Kouga had stopped sitting next to Miroku on his bed long enough to watch some of the porn he had on loan. Interesting enough... there were some bisexual girls and guys just having a huge orgy right on their television screen. Kouga was hardly turned on... he preferred live action sex, porn rarely if ever got his jollies up. Making social commentary notes on the porn however... is what kept him watching the smut.

At the current moment, there was two males doing... odd things to their female companion. Something Kouga hoped he would never have to try... he was loyal enough to have one partner at a time.

"The double penetration looks so wrong... that poor girl..." he said tilting his head to the side, his beer sitting on the cooler on the floor next to his bed. "She looks as if she is very uncomfortable rather than enjoying that experience at all. Wonder how much they paid her?"

At that moment he glanced over at Miroku, raised eyebrow and all... there was something... odd about his room mate. Perhaps it was the alcohol... and the porn, but Kouga was definatly thankful to be laying on his stomach at that moment. Evidence of a random erection just from looking at his room mate would not have been cool.

They are so weird...

Kikyou laughed softly, waving to the departing InuYasha and Kagome with a smile that was part understanding friend and part overly amused bitch. She allowed her gaze to linger on InuYasha just long enough to remind herself that she nearly did someone very stupid and immature, and turned to smirk at Sesshoumaru.

"So, what do you want to bet that Kagome, who was totally drooling over you by the by, dragged InuYasha off like that because she could tell the sight of you was totally killing whatever mood they had going before they remembered I was out here? Man, the tension between you two Brothers Grimm was so heavy I almost suffocated. Still, I was damn near ready to deck your little brother if he flapped his jaw at you one more time."

Kikyou finished up her food, sticking the flimsy chopsticks in the takeout container with a soft sigh. "He was so friggin rude. Seriously...how dare he say what he said? Grrr...wait, no. We were having a nice time chatting, I'm not going to let little mister homophobe ruin our night. Uh, I guess the dorm is free if you want to head over there and continue talking, or if you're just plain sick of me I can head off alone."

She blushed, smiling softly as she got up to throw out her food container. "I'm just going to admit this up front, so you'll know and we can have a good laugh about it. I was totally hung up on your brother like an hour ago, and then I met you and all I can think about is how mature and sexy you are. Feel free to laugh. I won't take offense. I know I'm totally not your type..."

Oh yeah... food...

After InuYasha had kissed her cheek...

Reality decided to sink back in.

"Oh god!" She smacked her forehead, "Oh god! Im never this ditzy! I'm sorry Kikyou!" They weren't far from the meeting place, in fact their dorms were close to the green where they were gonna meet up with her roomie. If they ran... then they wouldn't be so late after all. "Okay okay... umm... lets go get food from Kikyou. Eat. Then we can go somewhere and... yeah, Come ON!" She grabbed ahold of InuYasha's wrist and even though he could probably run faster than she could... she was making up for lost time on Kikyou's account. She hated being late!

Kagome finally came to a stop and rested her hands on her knees, panting as she looked up and saw Kikyou. She waved clumsily, "Hey... Kikyou..." she panted... "Sorry... about making you wait so long." A glisten of sweat rolled down her cheek and she smiled weakly.

~God I look like a total idiot....~ And then, as Kagome caught her breath... she noticed the presence of the guy next to Kikyou... who strangly looked alot like... InuYasha. ~I have never seen him before...~ She turned towards InuYasha and whispered, "Do you know that guy?"

Waiting on InuYasha and Kagome still...

Kikyou tried to stop babbling at Sesshoumaru while they waited for his brother and her roommate to show up. She was nervous for some reason, and couldn't figure out why. "I hope they arrive soon, their food will be stone cold by the time they get here."

She sighed softly, trying hard to relax in the moonlight. "Still, at least its' a nice night for eating outside. Thank you for keeping me company. I've enjoyed meeting you."

She was thankful the moonlight hid the blush she could feel on her cheeks, and turne to see if she could spot the other two.

Jakotsu nodded eagerly as Bankotsu walked off into the kitchen. God knows, he was no cook so instant meals were frequently in his diet.
He was aware that he should probably get around to changing that - crap like re-heated noodles were no good for skin or figure - but, quite frankly, he just couldn't be bothered.

"I take that back..."

He looked up as his new friend walked back into the room with a slightly apologetic look on his face. "Hm?"

"There is really nothing I would like to serve a guest-soon-to-be-roomie that I am very proud about cooking in the closet most people call a pantry. So! ...you mind delivery?"

Jakotsu laughed to himself a little. This guy was cute beyond belief and he didn't need a trial night to tell him that he wanted to stay. Still, he thought he'd best humour him at least.

"No problem," he replied coolly, waving his hand dismissively to the side. "Ooh!" Can we have pizza?" he asked with a childlike enthusiasm. "I like pizza... what's a pantry?"

Sorry for it being short ^_^()

As class ended, Sango exited the gym. After the long but invigorating work-out, she was feeling rather famished and made her way towards the cafeteria. Entering, she suddenly felt the weight of being lonely. She glanced around the room, and saw no familiar faces...after purchasing her lunch, she went to the corner and took a seat by herself, munching on her food quietly.
