yearly post

Hey folks,Sorry I've been out of touch since I got to new oreleans, things have been sort of hectic. My flight sucked, I had a nine hour lay over in new york, I of course went out for a smoke as soon as I arrived, and because it was after 10pm and my flight was not till the next morning, they would not let me back in the terminal until the next morning, so I got to hang out in baggage claim for nine hours. As soon as I arrived in new orleans I found they had lost all my lugage, including about two thousand dollars worth of tattoo equipment. I was very upset. It did not last long however because while I was in the middle of a good panic I ran into the wife of a guy I worked with the last time I was down here and found out he had died the night before. He was a good guy and a good artist and I was looking forword to getting to know him better. My lugage problem seemed pretty petty at that point.Things did get better and have been pretty good since, the one problem being that when I made plans to come down there were not enough artists, and now there are way to many, so I wave not been making the cash I was hoping to. Jazz fest starts today, so things should pick up fast. I'm just about to start a twenty-four hour shift which I'm looking forward to. One of the artists that showed up has a cool little monkey. I will post pics soon. Also the owner of the shop has been talking to B.E.T. about a reality show out of this shop which would be a much more entertaining show then  any of the tattoo reality shows on T.V.

buddah?

Sorry for the lack of posts.(I think almost all my entries in the last year have started that way)Anyway this is a great story that I read about about a month ago. I told my brother I would post a link today so here it is. I think every one should check it out. I hope it's not a fraud, It could potently, be one of the most important stories in human history. I will be following it very closely. I am a little frustrated by the lack of coverage.

Many of my Vermont friends have been saying that I am in denial about moving to Seattle because the date keeps getting pushed back and I am not saving any cash. It has been easy to deny these accusations until today. I just put a deposit on a huge heavy expensive wood bed that is going to be a pain in the ass to move across the country. However winter is coming and my motivation to move should increase with every inch of snow that lands on the ground.

I am very un-coordinated with hip hand shakes. I'm always doing the knuckle punch when some one want's to do the beast master arm grab ect.. I can never coordinate what to do in the split second it takes. I think I will take control and intentionally start faking people out so that they feel stupid and not me.

If I was doing any art lately it would be paintings of houses and strange buildings. I suppose I am moving on from my last theme, clocks. I did not paint or draw any clocks either.

I posted this in a tattoo community were a conversation about bad shop owners has been going on. I liked the post and what it said about the good folks I work with, so I will post it here as well.
Hello, been a while since I posted here but with all the talk about bad shop owners I thought I would share my story. I walked into the local shop three years ago to watch a friend get some work I had designed inked. The first thing I noticed was a black guy behind the counter. Not unusual any were else but this being Vermont any diversity is unusual. We showed him the work and he offered me a free apprenticeship with his brother who I had never met on the spot. I wanted to start tattooing as fast as possible, I was told if I could be there every day, ten hours a day I could be tattooing in six months.
I quit my job and started the next day. I did not put much thought into this If I had I would have realized, I did not have enough money to last half that time. When the owner and his brother noticed I was eating almost no food, the refrigerator in the shop started to become stocked daily with "shop food". They said they always had the fridge stocked that way but started to slip over the last few months and assured me it was what they always did, and told me to help myself. Around the fourth month I ran out of cash all together and was being evicted. I did not tell the owner, but somehow he found out and gave me a check for four thousand dollars and told me to pay it back when I could. Of course Once I started I paid him back right away. I also noticed the shop food stopped showing up when I started making cash. I recently told the owner that I was moving to Seattle in six months. Instead of freaking out he got on the phone and got me a job in Seattle with a guy he had not spoken to in ten years. I posted this to let folks know it is not all bad in this business, there are some great folks out there if you look. For my part I spent weeks scouring the area for the best artist I could find and asked him if he wanted to learn the trade. The guy I found is an amazing artist and is starting his apprenticeship next week.

After posting two comments in two separate journals, in a three minute period I got two almost identical responses of wow look you're alive. While I could say that rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated, I will instead state once and for all for the record that I am not alive I am actually dead.
This is a recording.
