KKR just made another move in India's preschool market — and it's a masterclass in platform M&A strategy. This week, Lighthouse Learning Group (KKR's Indian ECE and K-12 platform, formerly EuroKids) announced a strategic partnership with Early Learning Village — a boutique, research-led preschool in Gurugram known for its child-centred pedagogy and small-group model. On the surface, it looks like a small deal. It's not. Here's what KKR is actually doing: 🔹 Identify differentiated boutique operators with strong brand equity and pedagogy that premium parents trust 🔹 Acquire or partner — preserving the brand identity that made them valuable in the first place 🔹 Scale the model into new cities using the platform's infrastructure, governance, and capital 🔹 Repeat Lighthouse Learning now operates 2,000+ preschools and 60 K-12 schools across India. KKR doubled down with a fresh investment alongside PSP Investments just last November.
