It's time for another challenge over at
snowflake_challenge. This one is a bit picture heavy...
Challenge #6
In your own space, post the results of your fandom scavenger hunt. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Search in your current space, whether brick-and-mortar or digital. Post a picture or description of something that is or represents:
1. A favorite character
2. Something that makes you laugh
3. A bookshelf
4. A game or hobby you enjoy
5. Something you find comforting
6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch
7. A piece of clothing you love
8. A thing from an old fandom
9. A thing from a new fandom
1. Favourite character
There are a lot of characters that belong to my favourites. However, Methos is probably one of my old time favourites. He's versatile and most of all: a wise-ass.

2. Something that makes you laugh
The first thing that came to mind was my niece who's 2 1/2 years old. She's (still) honest even about her misdeeds. She not only freely admitted to Santa (my dad in disguise) that she was the one that kept running away, but that she probably would do so again. Amongst plenty of other things. She's quite chatty. She loves to draw and play with pretty much everything. She knows how to get what she wants. I have a feeling that will be more than just a handful as she grows older.
For privacy reasons, there won't be any pictures shared though.
3. A bookshelf
I initially took a picture of my bookshelf in the kitchen featuring a variety of cookbooks, but then decided to go with this one instead since it's related a bit more to my fandom life.It also features more book titles in English. To be fair - I'm not an artist, but every couple of years I think I need to give it a go. I quickly get distracted by other things though... otherwise, I tend to do most of my reading on an ebook reader and downsized the books I've got out on my bookshelf.

4. A game or hobby you enjoy
I initially thought about taking a picture of some birthday cards I made, but truly - the hobby I enjoy the most is writing. I don't post nearly as much as I write - mostly because I abandon stories for newer and shinier ideas. However, that doesn't really take from the enjoyment I get. I have a tendency to write on paper a lot. I hate typing it up and it can take week and months until I do. However, sometimes an idea just flows easier when I write it by hand than if I sit in front of the computer.

5. Something you find comforting
Blankets. I love wrapping myself in blankets. My favourite one is a dark grey one - which isn't really that distinguishable from my couch on this photo... oh well.

6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch
I'm drawing a bit of a blank on this one. I feel like I'm usually late to the game considering that I don't watch a whole lot TV. I find most new fandoms via crossover fanfiction or people talking about it - and then search out places where I can watch it. I used to go to movies several times a year before 2020 and I haven't really picked it up since. I also rarely know how many people know a show or movie these days. So, I guess I'll go with my current favourite show... just because.

7. A piece of clothing you love
With the cold weather as it is, one piece of clothing that I love is my hoodie. I have two - one is a pretty generic one I got through my dad. However, the one I really adore is a Doctor Who one. Even if it's been a while since I've watched the show. Like so many other shows, I've got to find time to catch up (or start watching)

8. A thing from an old fandom
So many old fandoms to choose from... after scrolling through the images I've got (mostly saved via pinterest) I decided to go for NCIS. Not sure which episode this is from, but I'd say it was either first or second season. Just because I remember seeing that scene and I stopped watching some time during season 3 and only ever "caught up" via reading spoilers whenever I dipped back into the fandom.

9. A thing from a new fandom
My current fandom obsession: 9-1-1 Lone Star. Specifically Tarlos. I do love everyone, but those two are my favourites as they've got a lot of spice and banter :)

Date: 12 January 2023 02:45 am (UTC)as for your niece i'll just imagine a toddler telling santa in all seriousness "yes, i ran away and i'll do it again!" and not looking the least bit repentant.
