snowflake_challenge, but that's more down to me wanting to revive dailyicons and I am creating a little something to help me with prompt selection. Once that's up and running again, I will make that post...
As for challenge #8, here is the task:

As this can be a request for anything, I've been wondering what to request (and ended up getting side tracked by reading stories). Most of what I've ever kind of "requested" where along the lines of prompts as I tended to make icons/banners I wanted myself if I didn't find anything I liked or in some form or another wrote stories for myself (whether or not they got posted or even finished is also another question) and I guess I'll stick to that... (not that I would say no if anyone felt inspired by anything I ever posted)
• Some time last year, I was getting back into MCU stories (after refusing to watch Civil War - which I still haven't watched - I kind of drifted away from the fandom and considering tags like "Team Iron Man" and "Team Captain America" over at Ao3 and some of the comments alongside, probably some drama and with Black Panther, Ant Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel I was drawn back in), I was watching a lot of fanvids and reading stories on how the events effected Tony Stark (who, as much as I like Bucky, Hawkeye, Darcy and Black Widow, will always be my favourite). Around that time I first got introduced to Lauren Aquilina (via a Good Omens fanvid with a different song). The Song Irrelevant by her kind of reflected how I saw the Tony/Steve angle with my own head canon of a Tony Stark that, for all the confidence he portrays, is kind of insecure about who he is as a person. For all the fanvids out there (whether Tony/Steve slash or otherwise), I never could find an MCU fanvid for that song.
Also, now that I'm back in NCIS and kind of addicted to Tony leaving NCIS/the team or generally being kind of pushed to the outside, I can also see it as something fitting his PoV there (be it Tony/Gibbs slash or otherwise).
Heck, any song from her as a fanvid would be nice. (Feel free to ask about other fandoms/pairings I'd be interested in, but even if I'm unfamiliar with it and one of the songs inspires you - go for it)
• My obsession with Tony DiNozzo (NCIS)/Steve McGarrett (Hawaii Five-0) is still going strong, so I'd be happy to see more of it. Especially longer stories or even fanvidsand I've only ever tried to make a fanvid once years ago, so I can imagine how hard that would be for a pairing that never shared a screen)
• I've also stumbled across a couple of stories that feature a close relationship between Tony DiNozzo and David Rossi (Criminal Minds) - as a pairing, with a familial type of relationship ((god)father/(god)son, uncle/nephew), as simply friends or something between the lines of all three - and I'd love to see more of that.
• A well kept secret being revealed to friends and family of a seemingly confident character that might or might not reveal that the character is less confident than they pretend to be (because to pretend to be confident, breeds confidence, does it not?). The secret could be hidden intelligence (additional education whether official or not), a "softer" hobby that the "tough guy" characters is really good at and passionate about or things like that, secretly being involved in social issues (helping elderly, the poor, troubled youth, etc). Secret doesn't have to mean keeping it intentionally secret by lying about it, but could just be because they consider it too private to freely share or not "important enough" to bring it up.
Characters I'd like this for (that I can think of right now, but feel free to ask about others): Tony DiNozzo, Steve McGarrett, Crowley (Good Omens), Tony Stark.

Date: 15 January 2021 07:09 pm (UTC)There are some great crossovers with Tony or NCIS as a whole, I've read a few this past year which I've really enjoyed, even though I wasn't familiar with all of the other fandoms. I've watched Hawaii Five-0 and dabbled a little in the fandom but never thought to write Tony DiNozzo and Steve McGarrett, it's an interesting combination.
I love your premise for a story, actually Tony DiNozzo is a great one for that isn't he, there's so much in his past that has been hinted at but never explained.

Date: 15 January 2021 08:20 pm (UTC)As part of that (and related story lines), I've also read plenty of crossovers - and that's how I actually found Hawaii Five-0. I think these days I find new fandoms solely due to reading crossovers :)
Since it's been so long, I'm starting to watch NCIS again from season 1 to get familiar with canon again before I start writing
and I already have plenty of ideas from reading fanfiction and epsiode summariesAnd yes, Tony was my initial inspiration for such a story because there's so much opportunity for secrets that can be explored, but I wanted to keep it open for other possibilities :)

Date: 17 January 2021 04:46 pm (UTC)I think Tony/Gibbs had been my strongest pairing alongside Tony/Abby and Tony/Ducky. Now that I'm back again, I'm up for further experiments with pairings and going back to the old ones :)
I'm glad you like my 'secret' fic idea. I hope you get an idea for it (regardless of involved fandoms/pairings) :)
