Hey :) Just wanted to stop by and let you all know that piperandlena.com now has it's very own forum.

We're all having a great time there, so if anyone would like to join us we'd be thrilled!

Hi guys, this is a final reminder for anyone else who wants to vote for the final challenge of Round 1. I will close voting tomorrow and a whole new Round will start! How exciting! But yes, before that, we have to determine the Round 1 winners!

Voting for Challenge #7 - FINAL
ROUND 1 CHALLENGE #7 VOTING!! This is the LAST challenge so PLEASE VOTE!

1. ANYONE CAN VOTE. You don't have to be a member or a participant to vote. Just no anonymous voting.
2. Vote for ONE icon of LEAST quality from each number, not just any low quality icon, but the least quality icon. You must provide a technical reason for voting.
3. Vote for ONE FAVOURITE ICON. You don't have to provide a technical reason, but it would be nice.
4. Be nice. This is supposed to be fun. Be polite when posting about lesser quality icons. Constructive criticism is the key here.
5. Don't vote for your own entry.
6. Don't tell people to vote for you. Keep your icon anonymous until the results are posted.
7. Voting is screened, no one will know who you voted for, so don't worry about insulting anyone.
8. You are not to vote for a particular style you don't like or something like that, but on the quality of the icons. Look at the image quality, the cropping and colouring, and the use of brushes, textures, text and effects.

Here are some examples of reasons you are not allowed to give/Bad Votes:

321: You call that an icon?! THIS is an icon.
100: So. Ugly.
656: I don't like it.

Here are some examples of how to vote properly based on technical aspects/Good Votes:

134: The icon is blurry/oversharpened.
200: The texture used overpowers the entire icon.
666: The border detracts from the main focus of the picture.

Unfortunately we must say goodbye to smellygolfer with a total of 9 votes



There is no people's choice this week, as the voting was extremely close between the two remaining icons.

However there is a mod's choice chosen by me bluesuzanne. Ironically my favourite was the icon which was voted off! I thought the change in colour in the text was effective and the colouring was unusual and striking. I also loved the crop and the fact that the Piper image was used.
