These mini biographies are so arduous and time consuming, but I'll do my best to complete it anyway. I'm Melissa--fulltime student, part-time Supervisor at a local movie theatre. Photojournalism is a possible future career that I may pursue. (That or a morgue technician.) Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation has also been a recent addition to my career aspirations. Writing has been second nature to me for some time. I don't struggle with it the way some people do. I don't think I truly started enjoying it until I graduated high school. Now that I have to write essays every couple weeks for my Portfolio Composition class, I've become accustom to producing good pieces under intense time pressure. I started photography only a year ago during my senior year in high school, and have never learned more in such a short amount of time. I studied and produce basic black and white photography. I am currently not taking any photography classes because the campus where I attend school doesn't have a photo lab. (And I have no car to get to the campus thirty-minutes away.) I like reading about serial killers. Jeffrey Dahmer is my favorite to study. I have read seven books on him. I believe in redemption of murderers and such people, though I know many would rather chase them down with pitchforks and torches. I like strange, gross, twisted novels. No one writes those better than Bret Easton Ellis and Chuck Palahniuk. Haunted and American Psycho are amazing. The Rules of Attraction comes in a close second. I work at a movie theatre for a reason: I love good films. I love too many to post here. Some directors I enjoy are David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, David Cronenberg, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Sam Raimi, etc. Quentin Tarantino has to be my favorite. I have seen all of his films and love every single one of them. Like normal people, I enjoy music. I like angry female singer/songwriters, grunge, and alternative rock. I am not as serious as this biography makes me out to be. That's why I dislike these, because now you have a preconceived notion of me. I am easy going, funny, and often obnoxious. I love having a good time and getting out to do stuff--anything. My life is not as exciting as I'd like it to be. That's why I do Crystal Meth. Am I joking? Find out for yourself. =)
