This is a spinoff of the first IIDX RP to ever take place on livejournal. The IIDX Platinum went stupid, so we're trying it again! Please take a moment to browse below to see who's available, RP rules, and applying.
General Plot & Info: This IIDX RP is the players' interpretations of the characters' lives and interactions, based on what we know from the official IIDX Bible (translated information on the characters is located here), and inferences from the videos.
Basically, all the characters are average people - students, workers, friends, enemies - with feelings, ambitions, frustrations, and quirks. The players are free to interact with the other characters given the information that's canon to that specific character. They all play IIDX - this is how they came to know each other in some way - it brings them together (more or less). However, there are rivalries, strong friendships, and the like that abound within their network as well. You must learn enough about your character's history and personality in order to portray them in the way that's been made specifically for them.
It's up to you where you decide to start off your characters (either in their hometown or elsewhere in Japan), but the central location will be in and surrounding the Shinjuku and Harajuku areas, since this is where the characters spend a lot of their time hanging out (Ie: Shems' clothing store, ROOTS26, is in Harajuku; their frequented arcade is in Shinjuku).

Rules --
1. No god-moding.
2. Don't be afraid to interact with each other outside the RP!
3. Keep an open mind. There can/might be some yaoi or yuri or het in this RP, so please don't harass other players about your likes or dislikes. Anything racy WILL have a warning posted.
4. Please keep the stats of your character(s) as close to canon as possible. If your character is related to another character (ie: Shi-low and Ereki), please keep the age gap and relations the same. If you wish to make a drastic change to your character, please contact the mods about it to get it approved beforehand.
5. No exclusive RPing. This means that your character should be trying to interact with everyone, not with just one or two particular character(s), unless your character is shy and mainly interacts with specific characters (such as Tsugaru's personality). With that being said, please don't limit yourself to RPing with one or two other players.
6. No created characters, please.
7. This RP is based on real-life facts and events with Konami, IIDX, and Japanese culture. If you want your character to have connections with the yakuza, or anything like that, please contact the mods with reason.
8. Have fun!
9. If you will be unavailable for an extended amount of time, please email the moderator and/or post an availability notice. Any players who are inactive for a long period of time will be investigated and possibly let go if previous notice is not given.
10. We understand the novelty of seeing two characters together - being fans ourselves - but please keep character relations reasonable. If Yuz is head-over-heels for Celica & is a rival with Shi-low because of it, he is especially not going to want to run off and scrog Shi-low for obvious reasons. As pretty as it might seem to you, each character does have their own canon storyline.
First offense is a warning. Second offense will depend on what has been done (it could include just another warning or up to and including termination). Third offense, you will be terminated. No questions asked.
