A downloadable game

A 2D mystery game where you solve a murder (killer, weapon, location) but the truth randomly changes when you guess wrong.

Core Mechanics:

  • Collect physical evidence (weapons, identifiers like golf balls/wine glasses)
  • Read text clues that create intersection puzzles (each clue mentions 3 suspects)
  • Items shuffle to random locations every 15-20 seconds
  • Make a guess via UI dropdowns

The Twist:

  • Wrong guess? Only incorrect parts reset (partial reset system)
  • Killer wrong? Your identifier vanishes, new clues spawn
  • Weapon wrong? Most weapons removed (keep 1-2 random)
  • Correct parts stay correct - progressive deduction

Current Status:

  •  Item collection, shuffling, and inventory UI working
  •  Need: Guess UI, validation system, and reset logic

Theme: "Complete Randomness" - race against chaos to find the truth before it changes again!

Install instructions

Extract the file, open the folder called "Truth Unraveled" and double click on "Beginner Winter Jam 2025.exe" to play the game
