slang To be intoxicated from drug use, especially marijuana. She was so stoned after smoking that joint that she couldn't even understand what Jake was trying to tell her. A: "You want a hit of this reefer?" B: "Nah, I haven't been stoned in years. Doesn't agree with me." I can't tell my kids what my college experience was like—I was stoned most of the time!
