banger

1. A sausage. Primarily heard in the UK. We're going to have bangers and mash for dinner tonight. No bangers for me, thanks. I'd prefer to eat something that I actually recognize. I'm not eating meat right now, so I'll skip the bangers.
2. The front bumper on a car or other vehicle. My banger got messed up in the accident, but luckily, the rest of my car is OK. Always be considerate when changing lanes in front of other cars, as aggressive drivers may feel inclined to use their bangers to signal their displeasure. 3. slang A hypodermic syringe, as used to inject illegal drugs. In that seedy part of town, you're liable to find bangers discarded by junkies on the sidewalk. No thanks, man. I'll smoke weed with you, but I have no interest in a banger of something harder. The thought of Tommy shooting himself up with a banger is too terrible.
