1. verb, vulgar slang To have sex. I heard that Katie and Brad banged last night after leaving the bar together. He's not a long-term relationship-type of guy. He clearly just wants to bang you. 2. verb, slang To take an illegal drug via injection. I knew he was struggling with his addiction again when I overheard him saying that he needed to bang. Weed is pretty much the extent of my drug use. Honestly, the thought of banging heroin or something hard like that terrifies me. If he continues to bang drugs the way he's been doing, he's going end up dead sooner than later.
3. noun An injection of illegal drugs. I knew he was struggling with his addiction again when I overheard him talking about getting a bang. No thanks, man. I'll smoke weed with you, but I have no interest in a bang of something harder. I'm so glad that, instead of getting a bang that day, I checked myself into rehab and started getting clean.

5. noun The strength or potency of something, usually an alcoholic drink. Whoa, this drink has quite a bang—I'll be drunk in no time at all! Bleh, I don't like the taste of alcohol, and this drink has too much of a bang for me. Here, take this—you'll need a drink with a bang while you look at the dismal financial results for this quarter.
6. noun The rush or surge that one experiences after taking a drug. I'm not using that stuff again! Too much of a bang for me. I hope you brought something to give us a bang before the concert! A: "Here, try this—it'll give you a nice bang." B: "Nah, man, I have to go to a family reunion after this."
7. noun Joy or excitement. I always get a bang when I come home from work and there's a package waiting for me. Nothing gives kids a bang quite like seeing all the presents under the Christmas tree. She'll proofread your report for you. She was an English major in college, so she gets a bang from doing that kind of stuff.
