I just noticed I don't blab much about this. This journal is mainly downloads of music and videos, and now translations of songs.. Of course, we ARE supposed to be doing Rebocon, but no one is doing much, but I've translated my part, so maybe I can translate the other half of blue to get everyone back into the groove? Spring Break is soon anyways, I should have time!
On the other hand, I'm totally looking forward to Jin Akanishi's Japonicana tour concert~ I'm going to the Vancouver one, so I'll take pics & post, then share with people on
jin_daily I guess.. I'll buy lots of stuff at the concert if they have a lot <3. Yeah, I'll also try and note down the songs... Hope JinJin speaks some Japanese, it sounds so sexy when he says it :D
For Japonicana, I'm still searching for the bonus tracks.. I hope they sell the versions of the album at the concert, I'd definitely buy all versions to support Bakanishi's American Takeover! I'd got time, so let's discuss the tracks of Japonicana so far...
Set Love Free: so awesome, talking about how if you are in love, you should let her go and she'll come back to you if that love is free. If not, this is also the painful part of living. Time will heal wounds :D. My favorite lyrics of all the songs.
- "So we'll set love free if it's meant to be, then you'll be back, back, back girl"
Tell Me Where: sorta sad... The girl gave you her heart, but there's no love associated with the heart. So basically Jin complains about it... Hinting at K.Meisa? (Not the biggest hint that I extremely hate his marriage, but I'll support him in music). So they break up (I think) and then Jin says next time he'll be smarter.
- "You gave me your heart, but where is the love? Wasted time when I should have been gaining, blinded by love so I guess I'm to blame then. Next time I'll be looking smarter"
That's What She Said: I like the song, but I hate the lyrics. It reeks of implied drug use that possibly will lead up to rape. I've just finished a unit in Personal Psychology about sexual assault and rape, and this just reeks of it... What were you thinking Jin, what were you thinking? My favorite part of the song: Japan and English= japanglish
- "Japanese + English = Japanglish, Courage + Liquid = Swag Juice"
Aphrodisiac: Song is about ultimate seduction. Jin's flirting with the girl he's got an eye on, and they're playing a little flirting game, which leads him to think that she's his aphrodisiac... Then he falls in love. Yeah, cliche I know.. extremely
- "She likes my move in the dark I'm smooth. Man, it's a brand new moment I have with you. When your feeling sinks, just let me move your tide. I'd risk the moon and stars if I can have your sky"
California Rock: It's a general song telling everyone how magical California is.. Just listen to the first few lines, seriously "sex on the beach"? Jin always seems to have songs about sex. And then it implies of drinking and drinking and more drinking. Other then that, the beat is really nice.
- "Call up Jin that's my man, L-A-X out to Japan, #I spot that's the plan, let me see your f**king hands"
Like You: I like this song :D Gives me feelings of devotion and support. Just listen to this. There isn't much to say about this song, it's just really lovely to listen to. It's sort of a slow song, but with a good beat that makes it so amazing. The lyrics are good too, I like the meanings it manages to give off.. Good job, Bakanishi!
- "One finger to the haters, two fingers to the past, high five girl we made it. Yeah we made it"
Oowah: My absolute favorite song in Japonicana. You can't hate this song, it's just so awesome! Ever since he performed it in NY?/LA on TV (with Yellow Gold and other songs), I've always listened to this one over all the other ones. Awesomeness. It's not just another song with Jin being enthralled with a girl and promising to give her everything, it's the ultimate one! <3
- "Pick a number you like, plus 4 and double it, minus 6 and divide by the peace sign yeah. Last thing you do is subtract the first number ya that equals you"
Test Drive: Pretty much self-explanatory for a debut song I think. Great song, esp. since it's featuring Jason Derulo with his name-singing, but the lyrics could be a little better I think. I want a solo Jin ver. of this song. Other then that, not much else!
- "You could be my passenger I'll keep both my hands on"
Sun Burns Down: 2nd single! I love it, I think it's better than Test Drive! The tune is great, gets stuck in my head easily, but I NEVER get sick of it because it's so amazing. I won't hate this song until the Sun Burns Down! (pun intended)
- "All up on my body all night, silhouette is sexy in the moonlight. You don’t have to be afraid to fly, fly. We’ll be there before you know"
