INFO ABOUT CHOLESTROL

Cholesterol is a type of fat made in the liver and found in animal foods. CHOLESTEROL IS NEEDED FOR IMPORTANT BODY FUNCTIONS. Such as; Building cell walls, Protecting nerves, Making hormones. THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF CHOLESTEROL : THE GOOD. (HDL), THE BAD (LDL)

A higher level of HDL is needed to carry LDL from the BLOOD back to the LIVER to be ELIMINATED from the body. If there is a higher level of LDL cholesterol in the BLOOD it may cause: high blood pressure!, Raise risk of heart attack! Raise your risk of stroke! and the kidneys problems!

The main danger of high blood cholesterol (LDL, low density lipid) is that fatty plaques may form which will decrease the diameter of blood vessels. This leads to a restriction of the flow of blood and oxygen to the tissues of the body.

– If an artery supplying blood to the HEART becomes blocked you may have a heart attack!

– If an artery supplying blood to the BRAIN becomes blocked you may have a Stroke!

– If an artery supplying blood to the kidney becomes blocked you may suffer kidney failure.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO LOWER YOUR CHOLESTEROL?

Eat less, avoid fried fast foods, avoid saturated fats, Avoid carbohydrates, sugar, cookies, cakes, pastries and candies.

Do exercise (Walking is good), avoid smoking, drink 8 to 12 crystal clear fresh glasses of water every day. Take multi-vitamins.

STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT IF AN AVERAGE PERSON CAN REDUCE HIS/ HER BLOOD CHOLESTEROL (LDL) BY ONLY 10% HE/ SHE CAN REDUCE HIS RISK OF HEART ATTACK BY UP TO 50%!!

The “Deep State” has landed in deep trouble for catastrophies!

The Deep State and technocrats – By Kamran Shafi

The Deep State itself wants to puncture the democratic balloon one more time and relegate rule by parliament to the backstage so that any advances made are brought to naught.

Anyone seen the list being circulated on the Internet containing the names of the ‘technocrats’ who are being touted as our newest saviours in the “national government” that is to take over after the present dispensation is kicked out? Makes your skin crawl, I’ll tell you.

Most of them have been in the various and varied engineered dictatorial/caretaker/lota so-called governments of which we’ve seen more than our fair share; governments that failed in every which way, made a bigger mess of things every single time that they “rescued” us, and after whose failure and subsequent departure the political leaders thrown out came back into the assemblies with larger majorities than they had when they were shown the door.

So why are these names making it to the lists being “prepared and finalised” when they were such abject failures in their earlier incarnations as ministers and advisers to dictators? It is not as if manna fell from heaven when they were ruling the roost, nor was there a chicken in every pot in the land. So, who are these people that pop up every now and again whenever the Deep State decides democracy has to take yet another setback? ….

Pak-Afghan Border – Hot Pursuit, Boots on the Ground, and Drone Attacks

Pak-Afghan Border and Asymmetric Warfare – Hot Pursuit, Boots on the Ground, and Drone Attacks

…. An additional factor that complicates these tactics is the idiom that ‘all is fair in love and war’. In the age of Internet, people have come to believe the stated intents and positions of international players to be true. The real intent and policies of global players are the most highly guarded secrets and are not meant for public consumption. Publicly disclosing the nations real intent, strength and vulnerabilities would be tantamount to surrendering. Nonetheless, when the statements and actions of stakeholders repeatedly don’t match, it creates many conspiracy theories as well as mistrust amongst allies.

A column about Aafia Siddiqui

The Aafia mafia – by Fasi Zaka

Her ex-husband rubbishes many of her claims, and the family of Dr Aafia won’t let the media speak to her children who can shed light on what really happened ….

About a year ago, I wrote a column that got the ghairat brigade on my case. The gist of the column was that the trial in the US was based on a case of evidence, and lack of, that the US had full control over in the alleged attempt to shoot a US soldier by Dr Aafia Siddiqui. That she would get a fair trial was dubious, plus the case was opportunistic because the US took the easy way out and didn’t prosecute her for her alleged links to al Qaeda but instead for a shooting during a questioning. She was, after all wanted for links to terrorism initially. Then of course, one of the main problems is the US took a third party national from Afghanistan for a trial in their domestic courts.

The offending opinion which got the aforementioned ghairat specialists riled up, which I still subscribe to, is that from what we know Dr Aafia cannot be categorically described as innocent or guilty.

Before she went missing, before the alleged shooting, Dr Aafia was on the radar as an enabler of terrorism. A UN commission described her as a member of al Qaeda, Sheikh Khalid Mohammed gave her name to the US and court records show her as the second wife of an al Qaeda member. One of her uncle’s claims to have met her when she was supposedly in detention in Afghanistan by the US during her missing year’s period. Her ex-husband rubbishes many of her claims, and the family of Dr Aafia won’t let the media speak to her children who can shed light on what really happened. …

The Scotland Yard investigation into the murder in London of the leading Pakistani politician Dr Imran Farooq has been told that rows within his own party may have led to his assassination.

Farooq was a senior figure in Pakistan’s MQM (Muttahida Quami Movement) party, and was in exile in London at the time of his death. Pakistani Journalist Speaks Out After an Attack – Eyes Turn to the Military

Pakistani Journalist Speaks Out After an Attack

By JANE PERLEZ

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — An investigative reporter for a major Pakistani newspaper was on his way home from dinner here on a recent night when men in black commando garb stopped his car, blindfolded him and drove him to a house on the outskirts of town.

There, he says, he was beaten and stripped naked. His head and eyebrows were shaved, and he was videotaped in humiliating positions by assailants who he and other journalists believe were affiliated with the country’s powerful spy agency.

At one point, while he lay face down on the floor with his hands cuffed behind him, his captors made clear why he had been singled out for punishment: for writing against the government. “If you can’t avoid rape,” one taunted him, “enjoy it.”

The reporter, Umar Cheema, 34, had written several articles for The News that were critical of the Pakistani Army in the months preceding the attack.

His ordeal was not uncommon for a journalist or politician who crossed the interests of the military and intelligence agencies, the centers of power even in the current era of civilian government, reporters and politicians said.

What makes his case different is that Mr. Cheema has spoken out about it, describing in graphic detail what happened in the early hours of Sept. 4, something rare in a country where victims who suspect that their brutal treatment was at the hands of government agents often choose, out of fear, to keep quiet. ….
