stealing pie

(no subject)

All I want to do is sleep. The last two nights I've gone to bed with the worst headaches I've probably ever had, which is rather bothersome.

I splurged on food for this weekend and I'm pretty happy with it. Tomorrow I'm busting out the crock pot and making a (hopefully) yummy beef stew. Tonight it's probably going to be frozen pizza, but that's okay with me. I also bought a bunch of veggies and stuff to make the most unhealthy mashed potatoes ever, what's going with them. I have no idea. But I'll figure it out.

These headaches are pretty much going to destroy my head. I'm sure of it. I can feel one forming behind my eyes right now, which means that most likely I'm not going to want to do anything today.

Gah.
bds he'll never see it coming

The debate rages on...

For some reason the topic of debate at Waldo's last night was inspired by this TFLN "I'm going to appeal my grade. Is it better to look studious or slutty?"

...

It lasted for an hour and I can't remember what we decided on. But I do know that we ended it with by dragging up the age old question "Who would win in a fight: 50 midges or 1 lion?"

Yeah. That was my night.

The boys are going out of town tonight, and will be gone until tomorrow evening. So, I think I'm going to attempt to dye some blank yarn using the "kool-aid" method. I have no idea how well that's going to go. Could be cool. Could result in a fire in my microwave. Either way should be fun, yeah?

I woke up in the weirdest mood this morning. There was this inexplicable feeling of dread hanging over me. Then I went to work and figured it out. It wasn't as bad as I thought when I saw my bosses upset face, but still, I hate the feeling of thinking that I did something epically wrong. Turns out that it was all of us sort of slacking on our Ref. duties. It was polite, and half the stuff was super easy to fix, so all I can do is just be aware of it and move on, yeah.

Well, it's officially summer now, thanks to the announcement that New Play Project performances start tonight. I know one or two going tonight, so hopefully class will get out early and I can maybe catch some of it. Though, it's really not helping the fact that I would pretty much get to the limit of stealing babies and taking out foreign dignitaries to be able to do it. But no. I have to keep on the history thing. I'm a master's student now, and I'm going to keep going. Though Steve did say he'd write me a recommendation to get into the Play writing Guild or something like that so that I can at least be aware of submission dates for this and that. I'm getting his notes back on Drunken Lullabies sometime this week, so I can hopefully maybe work on it a little bit over the summer and get it ready for the Kennedy Center Submissions in the fall.

Dad's doing good! Went back to work this week, and I think that going back to work is going to be the best thing for him. Or at lest as it pertains to his level of grumpyness and the whole quitting smoking thing. So yeah. Sammi came and got the "last" of her stuff, once again leaving me to still clean up the rest of the mess she made. Oh, so in case anyone needs to get WAX out of carpet, use wax paper and a hot iron. Though, you might want to use the iron as little as you can, I might have changed the blue carpet to a small green stain? I'm going to go play with it a little more today and hopefully it's not the case.

I also find out this weekend if I get a bigger bed. My last application to get rid of the bed bugs in Sammi's old bed will be up on Saturday, so hopefully they'll be gone and I can get a bigger bed.

So. Yeah. It's Thursday, tomorrow is Friday and thank God I only work until noon. No big plans this weekend, thankfully, as Memorial day we'll probably head down to Columbus (and possibly "make" Gordon take me to the zoo?) and then maybe the next weekend at my parents. I think this weekend would be a good chance to go see Robin Hood, or maybe even Shrek and catch up on some much needed sleep. Not that I'm complaining seeing Andy last weekend was pretty damn awesome, but still we didn't exactly do the "sleep" thing a whole lot. Haha.

Okay. So. It's been a while. But i think it's about time to start posting again. Unfortunately, not much going on at work at the moment, so there really isn't much to say about anything, other than the Medieval Congress is in town for the weekend. And so far everyone whose stopped by has been nice, so we're off to a good start!

I'm also trying to figure out what is the best possible way to kill the next hour and a half at work. I promised Kassi last night I'd do something, but I can't remember what the hell it was, so I'll just have to wait on that, I guess. Started Freakonomics that Gordon let me borrow. It's pretty good actually. For someone whose as inept at all things remotely economical as I am, this book is written so that just about anyone can understand it. Plus, it's more about everyday things, and connections that you wouldn't really think about. So at least it's keeping me entertained. That and Daily Shite and Fail Blog.

Food sounds so amazing right now. I'm down to candy in my box, and I'm not sure how many more mini-KitKat bars I stomach. Ha ha.

For Steph

Summer has been...well summer so far. The only difference between what I was doing last summer and this is that I'm not taking classes and working more. Which isn't a bad thing. The only down side is checking all the subject guides again, and again, and again. I'm leading right now with 18-ish. But it's something to do so that I can distract myself from reading anything that has to do with hockey at the moment. Fucking Penguins.

This past weekend was a lot of fun. Kendra had her batchlorette party. It was a lot of fun. There were about 7 (which I'm exacted now that I'll know more people at the wedding!) of us, and we went out for a nice dinner, and played some drinking games, and then hit the bar. We weren't there for very long, as Kendra was on the verge of passing out an hour into the bar. Which was alright, I came home and decided that not sleeping was a good idea.

I got the funniest typed IM this morning. Okay, it wasn't really funny, more 'grate on my nerves' kind of question, but then you can later make fun of, type of funny. And I quote "I fogot my not boock 3rd floor have you find for me." No shit.
Everyone knows it's Butters!

Can today get any better?

I'm so freaking happy right now. I'm DONE with finals, and I've got a whole day to myself. I've already got my laundry done, went to 7-11 to get pop, and picked up Maggies on the way home. It's so gorgeous out side and we're taking Andy out tonight for one last hurrah before he heads back to Maryland after graduation on Saturday. Now I'm enjoying my breakfast and watching some of season two of Supernatural, which I picked up the other day for less than $20. XD Life is so good right now.
