4 Months
Gone.
I can't believe summer has already come and gone already. Even though it was 4 months...it fealt like 2 weeks. Maybe it's because I was working full time...but I've done that in past summers, which were only 2 months long...and even then, those summers fealt longer. How did those 4 months go by so quickly? I can barely remember what happened...except for the major events like the forest fire in May, probably the worst storm the Whiteshell has ever seen in June, the cabin party, all the crazy lake parties, the car crash...
It's so weird knowing that I'll be in the city pretty much all the time for the next 8 months after spending 4 full months at the lake...this next week will be like culture shock...new job (sort of), new school (sort of) and new friends (sort of)...those are are all old things...except that I have barely kept in contact with them for 4 months. I've only known my lake friends and now I probably won't see most of them until next summer...if I'm even around next summer or if they're even around...I might not see some of them again.
On the other hand...I'm kind of also looking forward to going back to school. Usually I don't want to go back to school...as does just about everyone else...but I'm actually kind of excited about seeing what my 2nd year courses will be like...hopefully a little bit more challenging than last years and a little bit smaller. I'm also looking forward to meeting new people like last year...so overall I'm sad that summer is over, but I'm also looking forward to the change and the next 8 months of progression and new things.
