It's so annoying when people "on your side" say some stupid bulshit like I for one tend to really enjoy dark topics is media and am against censorship in general but then I see a bunch of tumblr users be like "yeah fiction doesn't affect reality those are completely separate fictional works have never actually affected real world no sir!!!! Just because something is written in fiction doesn't mean author approves of it therefore we should not analyze the context and message of fiction and just enjoy it!! Fiction is meant to be enjoyed why would you think deeply about problematic topics in media they're not real!!" Like nope no I'm not with that guy I don't know what the FUCK you're talking about please take a lit class or something

Keeping a vampire chained up in your basement. There’s a small window that lets the sun in during the day. The chain is silver. When it is day, the sun fills half of the room and the vampire has to move to the other side of the room, painfully tugging on the silver chain. Wasn’t silver for werewolves.
