2012 Schedule Prompting: February 29-March 7 Prompt List Goes Up: March 9 Claiming: March 12-19 Entries Due: May 7 Posting Begins: May 21
Rules and Requirements
1. Your work must feature the Merlin characters of your choice in a high school/secondary school setting. You can use any country's school system, just as long as your work includes some sort of secondary educational institution. At least one of your main characters must be school age; other than that, all pairings, genres, kinks, ratings, etc. are allowed, including Teacher/Student.
2. This year's fest is a prompt fest, so both writers and artists are unlimited.
3. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.
4. If you claim a prompt you are agreeing to create a fic or artwork based on that prompt. Artwork in this fest includes traditional art, graphics, fan vids, and fan mixes.
5. Both prompting and claiming will be done anonymously through screened comments. You don't have to submit a prompt to claim a prompt, and you don't have to claim one to submit one. If you like, you can even claim your own prompt. All prompts may be claimed once for art and once for fic. Prompting is unlimited, but please submit only one prompt per comment. Claiming is first come first serve.
6. Minimum requirements for fan works: a) All fic must be at least 1,000 words. b) Fanarts must be a complete piece and more than a sketch or preview (lines inked or seams blended). c) Fan vids must be at least 45 seconds. d) Fan mixes must include at least eight songs with a tying theme and cover art.
7. All works must be beta'd.
8. In order to preserve anonymity, all fanworks must be able to stand on their own and not be part of another series or a sequel/prequel to other works by the same fan.
9. The moderators reserve the right to return any fanwork for revision if they feel it does not adhere to the prompt chosen, or does not meet the quality standards.
10. All fanworks posted here will be exclusive to the community until the names of the creators have been revealed. Please do not post them elsewhere on the Internet until that time.
