Aren't you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.
I swaw interesting episode of "Issues" with investigative journalist Jane Velez Mitchel about what she calls a "psychoplogical burqa: in society in reaction to violence against wonmen:
My second woman lover come years later, I just never has the
guts to push it myself! I had a friend, divorced, about ten
years older, who used to live in the neighborhood and whom I
visited quite often. She also visited me, somehow usually when I
was alone at home. Very feminine brunette, a bit plump, flashy,
not fat, just little extra padding on hips and tights. I used to
like her figure very much...
After work I would end up at her place for a cup of coffee and
chat. She would be tired from work, her feet swollen after a day
on heels, she would take her shoes off and move her toes
complaining about swollen feet and naturally I offered her a
foot massage. I would take her heel and lay her foot onto my
lap, lay my other hand along her sweaty foot and gently press
and then start to massage her toes in nylons. Sometimes,
sitting opposed to her, I'd have a glimpse of her panties inside
the darkness under her skirt. My face would blush red,
frightened not be seen peaking under her skirt.
In time I realized I actually enjoy touching her sweaty feet in
nylons, there's something sexual in that and somehow accepted
the fact that she turns me on, something I would never dare
confessing to her. There was no need to, as I was going to
discover. At the meantime, those foot massages become almost a
friendly ritual.
And so, once... I was massaging her feet, she obviously enjoyed
it, with her eyes closed, changing her position on the sofa from
time to time. I was looking at her legs, feeling my nipples
getting harder under my blouse, when she moved a little once
again -- enough for me to notice the whiteness of her flesh above
her black hold-ups and something that made me almost jump: she
had no panties underneath her skirt! I had a clear glimpse of
her lush pubic hair in the darkness.

Has NOW said anything about the Jaycee Dugard kidnapping/rape case? Given what that sick asshole Philipp Garrido has a long record of doing to women and girls I concider this a violence against women issue. This week the cops are digging up Garrido's back yard for more bones of more potential victims!
Since Hot Head is fiction I hope the inmates in prison get him!
I'm so pissed off about all the psychotherapists analyzing the guy who opened fire on the women at the Pittsburgh LA Fitness facility! Nobody wanted to date him because he was a sexist, narcissistic jerk!
George Sodini Blog and Details: LA Fitness Shooter and Women --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Jim Roberts Aug 6, 2009
Crime Beat - George Sodini has been identified as the LA Fitness center shooter and he kept a blog where he hinted at details of why he was about ready to unload several rounds of ammunition into an LA Fitness center near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Experts are now of course looking at it and giving their opinion. ABC News reported that George Sodini's blog writings were "the rambling messages of a likely psychotic."
George Sodini Blog and Details: LA Fitness Shooter and Women
Elizabeth Gannon, 49, Heidi Overmier, 46, and Jody Billingsley, 37 were taking an aerobics class at the gym and were gunned down by the man that couldn't get attention from women. His blog said they rejected him all the time and he had decided to kill and one entry reportedly said that he had tried to do this once before - but chickened out.

The ramblings - according to the New York Times, Sodini wrote in an entry dated Dec. 29, 2008. “I actually look good - I dress good, am clean-shaven, bathe, touch of cologne — yet 30 million women rejected me — over an 18- or 25-year period. That is how I see it. Thirty million is my rough guesstimate of how many desirable single women there are."
“A man needs a woman for confidence. He gets a boost on the job, career, with other men, and everywhere else when he knows inside he has someone to spend the night with and who is also a friend.”

The report details fired at least 36 shots from two 9 millimeter semi-automatic weapons in the LA Fitness center.
According to ABC, the shooter apparently targeted the "Latin impact" dance class that was under way when he opened fire. "He had the class schedule with that class circled," Allegheny County Police Superintendent Charles Moffatt said.
I'm new here, I discovered Hothead years ago and there's no going back! :)
Recently, a was part of a slash blog until I found in the user page in the discription was "rape/torture". As you can imagine I was pissed off I assumed it was some sexist jerk, so I contacted the moderator. The moderator is a rape or sexual abuse survivor who said laughing at rape is a way for her "to survive in this fucked up world". I don't know is she someone who's identifying with perpertrators to feel less like a victim, maybe her mom was a silent partner (a family member, usually the mom who knows about the sexual abuse but says nothing in other words failing to proect the victim). Laughing, at who's expense? My idea of laughing at rape is blowing away rapists.
I'm going to compile an informal listing of radfems under 35 (born post-1970) because academia (or as Mary Daly would say: academentia) thinks or hopes us folk are going the way of the dinosaur.
So if you're a rad fem born 1970 or later, could I get a comment? Just give your username, or a nickname, or your real name. And if you know any authors, singers, activists, etc. who are radfem and under 35, could you give us their name. And maybe a little bio for both categories if you like, or a wee manifesto or whatnot. And do you/your rad fems you list identify as 2nd or 3rd wave?
This is not meant to belittle older radfems in any wany, shape, or form. They're more than welcome to comment too, but please state you're older than 35, so i don't count you as a "young" rad fem.
Also, please post this other rad fem/feminist communities, blogs, etc. Let's get this thang going!
