Hey guys, I know we're all older users of HorseLand and I know many of us have stopped playing for different reasons. Personally, I didn't enjoy the changes too much but I wanted to share a horse SIM I've found that is very similar to HorseLand but is more for the intermediate player in terms of content and things to do. It currently has a promo for its anniversary until November 10th that new players get a free month of premium user status, so it's definitely the best time to check it out. :)
Hi! Anyone still around here? I just rejoined HL after a four year hiatus and wow, so much has changed! But as I play it gets better as I learn my way around again. Don't like the coin thing at all. I do like that we can board our own horses but that sure shuts it down for the premie players. Anyway, just checking in.
I created a new HL account tonight, though I'm not quite sure why. I guess I was curious to see how things were going, what changes had been made, etc.
I was bummed to learn that my old account had been deleted, so I guess I'm player number 3609026 now - a noob with no money and no player points. I'll have to see if I can dig up my old layout pic and alter it to use the new number.
Anyway, I just wanted to check in and see if any of the old peeps were here. Also, if I'm going to play again, I'm going to need some money. Thus, I'd like to pimp myself out for pic-making jobs. A few samples of my custom pic work follow. Just reply to this post if you want one. I guess I also need feedback on what the going rate for pics like these is nowadays...
If anyone has any tips and tricks for HL, I'd be much obliged. I've mainly joined HL to learn more about horses and dogs, breeding, owning, selling, etc. And if anyone would care to be stable buddies...I think I might love you to death. *feels like a little kid asking to sit next to the cool kids at the lunch table*
edit What is considered a lot of points? A thousand? A million? Somewhere inbetween? I don't really understand this point system, and I've read and reread the entire horselandhelp.co.uk site. And is it a good idea to get a horse from the Humane Association, or should I stick to the Store for now?
Does anybody know what HL does everyday? I'm thinking all they do is answer e-mails, upgrade premies, and ban people. I wonder if they ever work on improvments. I e-mailed them once, asking for them to consider new ways for horses to get points and using player points for something other than status. I know it's a LLC, but sometimes I wonder if it's just 1 person running the thing. What ever happened to Christina (or whatever her name was)?
Hey guys.. I found another fun Horse Sim game! It's called Equination and is based on horse racing. It's lost of fun -- I got a lot of playing time in while HL was down!! Geez, wasn't that awful? :/

Right now on HL i only have 3 studs. an Akhal-Teke, a Percheron and a Welsh Mountain Pony. they're all over 30k points. and I'm quite proud of them :)
In real life I'm 20. live in Upstate NY. I have a 4 year old saddlebred x standardbred gelding. I've been riding for 17 years... I do dressage and h/j, but I'll ride any way and anything I can. I think that's about it.
Today I got harassed over pictures that i have on my main page.. Kids like that make me fear for the future of our world.. Oh well. Doesn't bother me in all honesty.
