I believe, as the Wiccan rede states, "And it harm none, do ye what ye will." This means that more often than not, I tend to be pretty open and liberal. I believe that everyone is entitled to his or her own beliefs and should be allowed to live life as he or she chooses, so long as it isn't harming anyone. And while this journal is generally used for personal ramblings and fannish delight, y'all should know that when I do talk about the big, wide world, it reflects this belief.

I am a hopeful romantic...
I am generally known as Hopeful Romantic here in the aether. The Romantics you see, are one of my favorite movements in literature and art. You know the ones, Bryon, Keats, Shelley. And if anyone wants to try to survive being a Romantic, there has to be a great deal of hope, because in the grand scheme of things, you can't be an idealist without it. Besides which, I would rather be a hopeful romantic, than a hopeless one. I want to believe that no matter how cynical and desperate it all gets, I can always remember that love is the "universal constant."
Of course that doesn't always work...
And I definitely have a darker and more pessimistic side; something that can sometimes come out in my art and the occasional rant. But in the end, it's all about...
Seeking balance...
And everyday I strive to find a balance, and peace, and serenity in all things. And even if I don't always succeed, I hope that I will always find truth and wisdom in trying.
