Take a moment everyone and remember that Today was the battle of Hattin. 
Hundreds of Knights Templar were killed, with thousands of other knights/footsoldiers being taken capture.
When some of the whole soldiers realized what their future would be like they were said to have ripped robes off dead templars and claimed to be said knight. Simply so they could have a quick dead.

If you're interested in reading more about this battle I suggest a very good book by a woman named 'Holland'.
The book is Jerusalem and is actually a work of Fiction. But in my opinion they hold strongly to all the facts and she presents a very emotional story.

Well, I'm new here. I will admit, I have become more interested in Mary Magdalene because of the da Vinci Code. I thought it was an amazing book. I always thought there was something weird going on with the whole "Mary Magdalene was a whore" thing, and I have thought even longer that Jesus was just a regular guy, who ate, slept, drank, burped, and *gasp* may have even had sex. ^_^

Anyway, I've been reading "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," and have just been sucked into the whole thing. I want to do more research on Mary Magdalene. I'm very ok with debunking the church's claim that she was a prostitute, because it's about time there was an important, respected woman in Christianity. (I'm not exactly a feminist, but I am pagan. ^_~)

If anyone is interested, in preparation for a trip to Rennes-le-Château I've been making a series of posts on my personal journal about the village and its mysteries. I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts on the matter since my flist (unsurprisingly) seems entirely uninterested, and it's proven difficult to find anyone with a shared enthusiasm for the subject.

I was crusing the internet for some rescources for my project on the holybloodline when I came across this. My question for you all is, do you think that there is some truth in this Eric Mader, or is this some psycho internet junkie trying to b.s. us all?

Hi all, I'll apologize right now for crossposting.

I was reading the newspaper today, and there was an obituary in there that contained something interesting. It says that this lady was a crossbearer and adherent to the Grail Message, In the Light of Truth. The way that it was written makes it look like it's some sort of order... has anyone heard of this?
