....................................(introduction; __________________________________________i hear the echoing footsteps); Welcome, oh cursed soul, to  higurashiawards -- the icontest dedicated to the horror anime/manga/game Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.So how does it work? Well, at the beginning of each week an admin will supply you with a theme in which you can enter icons in for the contest that takes place at the end of the week. The members can vote for their favorites, and the winners get bragging rights and a shiny banner! It's that simple. :) Don't make icons, or don't make them that often? That's okay! Join the comm anyway -- voters and helper-outers (banner makers, suggestion givers, etc) are also extremely appreciated. Plus, who knows, maybe one day you'll get encouraged and enter into a week, eh? |

Your icon submission must meet the Livejournal size requirements (no larger then 100x100 pixels and 40K filesize). o2... Your icon must only use official Higurashi images or artwork (no fanart or doujinshi allowed, unless otherwise stated). o3... Your icon must be new and fitting to the week's theme; no reusing of old icons. o4... Animated icons are allowed. o5... Don't show off your icon or tell anyone which is yours until each week is over and the winners have been announced. o6... When voting, please don't vote for your own icon. o7... You must be a member to participate in the contests, though anyone is free to vote. o8... No criticizing -- be friendly to the iconists and admins. This is all supposed to be fun, so don't bring unnecessary drama! |
...............................(submissions; ___________________________________to find happiness i've done everything); Every Saturday/Sunday a new theme is posted, and submissions are accepted until Saturday afternoon, unless otherwise stated. Voting will take place over the weekend, and results will be posted on Sunday/Monday night. Submission formats should look like this: Icon: <*img src= "url here"*> (remove the "*"s) URL of icon: Which should end up looking like this:  http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a12/Meli180/higurashiawards/hadefault.png And of course, please include anything else you think I may need to know.
