So, I guess this is a bit empty... HAHA... But I decided just earlier this week that I want to do cross country. To be honest, part of me is doing this because I know it'll look good for college, part of me is doing this just to prove people wrong... but I know that beyond all of that, I just need to do this for myself. I hate running, but I want to know this freedom that so many people find when they run.
Even though my motives are 95% wrong, the remaining 5% of me whats to know what it's all about.
Any tips for beginners? I have absolutely NO atheletic ability, NO endurance whatsoever... I know that i'm just a beginner, so my standards aren't so high... I'm not expecting to be GREAT on the first day. I guess the real question is - how can I improve?

- this love- maroon 5

I haven't posted in a while, probaly over a year or so it seems like. Anyways this season was spectacular. My team was losing our #2 and 4 runners but filling those spots were freshman. Really talented freshman but one thing i have learned is that you can't always depend on freshman just because their young and idk its just weird. Anyways so i knew that we had alot of potential its just whether or not the team would work hard and live up to that potential. the season started with a win and followed that win was just more and more wins. We finished 3rd at the Spartan Invite 22 points behind last years state runner up. Then we won our county meet first time in 12 or so years. After the we qualified for states (first time in like 8 years) finishing second in the hardes D2 regional (Marysville) with 4 team qualifying. So we finished 5th in the state, Ya, with 2 all-staters (Myself and a teammate, placing 16th and 18 respectively) and all 5 guys under 17:02.
More about Myself:
I qualified for the state meet for my 3rd year in a row with a 5th place finish at my regional. Then follow that up with a pr at the state meet running 16:01.3, (finishing 16th in D2). That qualified me for the midwest regional for the second year in a row, but i was unable to run due to a fricken stress fracture). So with that amazing year behind me i have recieved letters from: Michigan State, Bowling Green, Columbia University, Eastern Michigan, Siena Heights, Aquinas, and the Naval Academy in Annapolis. I would love to attend the Naval Academy just because its a childhood dream to led and serve. But if i didn't make it their i would be more the happy to go to MSU. Well it was long but i felt the need to update. Thanks for reading!
