five years later... still a fangirl
It turns out that one cannot outgrow being a fangirl. Or at least, *I* couldn't outgrow it. I only gain new fandoms and cycle back through my older ones as time passes.
hansel & gretel = sibling feels + general badassness
I've been away from livejournal for months, been through my fandom cycles again, gained a new fandom (The Dresden Files), and this is the movie that brings me back.
Adorable. Which is probably not the right word for a movie as bloody violent as this.
Alright, so let's say the movie was utterly FUN and Hansel was utterly adorable. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton had awesome chemistry, and oh, the sibling feels...

- Shipping Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff so hard (now one of my OTPs as I cannot ship either of them with anyone else)
- Currently trying to stay afloat in the sea of fanfiction, fanart, cast pictures, etc. Unable to stop reading/staring long enough to write any fic (or even, apparently, post on livejournal until now.)

*I couldn't get over how similar this was to my own experience (except that I got hooked by Damon's funny lines and the whole brother thing).

See, here's the thing. I've been addicted to The Vampire Diaries for the past four weeks. If you've seen my last post, that is when it all began. Now, I'm officially caught up with all episodes from first to third season (lost a lot of sleep watching the stuff; I have huge eyebags now).
And just now I've watched the latest episode 3x09 Homecoming. Which was AWESOME. It was conspiracy on top of conspiracy; everyone was screwing up everyone else's plans either for selfish or even noble reasons. If this is where they're stopping before the hiatus, they certainly picked a fantastic place to stop because it will drive the viewers mad trying to figure out what the hell is going to happen next. (I personally might go insane before the next episode airs.)
Oh, and while I'm totally in love with Damon, in this season little brother Stefan has been showing more aspects of his character than just the brooding, non-human-blood-drinking, self-sacrificing side. And I'm liking it.
This show should go the Supernatural route: focus on the brothers and their brotherly love. You'll hear me squealing with joy from the next continent if that happens.
