The Rumblings Of An Inbred Hick

I'm a 1962-model fat, bald, fuzzy fag with a wonderful husband (together since 1994, legally married since 2007) lupinebear. Between late 2006 and mid-2008 we moved from Atlanta, GA, to Columbia, SC, to Nashville, TN - yeah, we've done our Tour of Southern USAn Capitals - to the greater Toronto, ON, area so we can add a provincial capital to the list. We're now happily ensconced in Vancouver, BC, and loving every minute of our latest New City. :-)

In a past life, I founded Southern Bears in Atlanta, GA, with my ex-. In another past life, I was known as "HickBear" in the #bearcave channel on IRC. And in a third past life, I was very active on the Usenet newsgroup soc.motss with email addies that usually started with "mhr" (and still lurk there on the rare and odd occasion).

Why an Inbred Hick? I'm a 10th-generation West Virginian and 4th cousins with my father. Or, to put it another way, my paternal grandparents were 2nd cousins once removed. Or my father was 3rd cousins with his own mother. Or my great-grandfather [middle-name] was first cousins once removed with my great-grandfather [last-name]. Or something. IOW, my Family Tree is more like a Telephone Pole...
