We are doing the shared reading and discussion of Tolkien's Father Christmas Letters that I had suggested earlier in the year over six days, starting today at 19 UTC and continuing next week, with a live reading of favourite passage planned on the 29th.
Apart from the live reading, the general approach is similar to how bunn and I did the Sigurd and Gudrun discussion some time ago.
Today's plan is to get warmed up with a general discussion and cover the earliest letters up to 1925.
Anyone who can't make 19 UTC on any of the days is welcome to comment in the channel set up on the SWG Discord server  for the discussion at any other time in between.
Bunn and I are the event mods.

22 December: Discussion: Letters 1920-25
27 December: Discussion: Letters 1926-1930
28 December: Discussion: Letters 1931-1933
29 December: Live reading of favourite passages, hopefully, 19 UTC
30 December: Discussion: Letters 1934 -1938
1 January: Discussion: Letters 1939-1943
