I owe this thing a real post again at some point (and I have adorable dog pictures I should share with people who aren't on plurk) but that'll come later, sorry bros.

but anyway: rainy_takako and I were talking about how we would really love a single-fandom, canon-compliant roleplay based on Fire Emblem; specifically, Tellius. No panfandom NARUTO GETS LOST IN ANOTHER WORLD stuff, none of the loose continuity/changing settings of a dressing room type game.

If any of you out there would be interested, I would love it if you dropped a comment so we could gauge what we might have to work with here!

I'd also like to go ahead and start dickering about a few details here, in the interest of making it as accessible as possible to as many interested parties as possible, so a few other considerations:

- I kind of mentally default to "game played on LJ," myself. But if people would rather go chill on a different journaling site or throw together a forum or something, I'm not adverse to being flexible, since that convention of LJ RP where everybody has a ~*~mysterious communication device~*~ wouldn't really fit FE canon anyway.

- We're looking at spanning the gap between Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, because we feel like some of the epilogue stuff would complicate things unnecessarily anyway (i.e. NOBODY GETS TO PLAY IKE, LOL). Thoughts?

- OCs? I think it could be a nifty way of filling in the blanks, albeit only in places where it makes sense. (i.e. the Greil Mercenaries would not be open to OCs, since they're a pretty strictly defined group. On the other hand, random laguz soldier #27 under Ranulf's command would be perfectly doable.) It could help make things more interesting in areas that are underrepresented to start with.

- ...of course, if it's a small group to start with, then we might do better to pick a region so we don't have people off by themselves with no other characters around to interact with? This one really depends on how the rest goes, I guess.

Thoughts, suggestions, commentary, ALL IS WELCOME, because we don't have anything down in stone yet -- just the desire to MAKE A TELLIUS GAME WOOOO.

Also, I'm going to unlock this post, so if you know anyone outside my flist who might be interested, feel free to pass it along!

Because we all know how good I am at finishing things lately (or...ever), this is totally the sane thing to do with myself. /o/;;;;

retroflex is downright inspirational sometimes. (Well, honestly, a lot of the time, because when I think of all the posts on my friends list that make me think, "gee, that's awesome and it makes me want to better myself, too," she's behind a significant number of them.) And after she posted her list for mission101, I decided it would be to my own benefit to stop saying I should do things and start doing them.

This is a list of 101 things I hope to accomplish over the next 1001 days. Some of them are healthy habits, some are just things I've been meaning to do and failing at actually doing. Some of them are meaningful and some are trivial geeky bullshit that may not mean much to the world, but might make me feel better.

It started when I was on the way to work, and it occurred to me that if you look at my RP habits lately, there are a lot of...trends in pairs. Two ambiguously gay schoolboy baseball players. Two redheads with cross-shaped scars on their faces. Two pretty boy smart guys from Togashi manga.

And now, two emotionally screwed up teenagers named Nagi.

-- and then my brain turned it into weird Reborn/Weiss Kreuz crossover AU.

OH MY GOD I DON'T EVEN KNOW, YOU GUYS. BUT I AM ODDLY TEMPTED TO WRITE MORE OF IT.

I did some friends list trimming, but as I was mostly just taking off 1) communities I don't really feel like watching anymore, and 2) journals that haven't been updated in a year or more, I don't think anyone who cares has really been affected.

If I'm wrong, and you're still here and you still care, just make indignant noises at me and I'll add you back.

(I'm astonished at how much junk there was in my userinfo, for serious. How do I do it?)

Making delicious wonton soup: Good.

Forgetting to halve the amounts of things you put in, thus adding too many liquid ingredients and making a very soupy wonton filling: Not so good.

Not bad enough to ruin the recipe, so I'm sure it'll taste fine in the end, but whoops. Usually I double the recipe (which I don't use anymore; I just do it by intuition), so it'll take a whole package of pork and I'll have leftovers. But this time, I was making it deliberately to use up a leftover half a package from when I made meatballs, so...whoops.

Speaking of meatballs!

This is my family's traditional recipe. Do not abuse it. :(
